Disappointed in McCluster
Bla bla bla, he's a playmaker, he has two touchdowns already, whatever.

He has seven catches for 93 yards. 1/3 of that yardage came on one play. At least two of those are screen passes I believe.

That ****ing sucks.

This guy needs to be a threat as a WIDE RECEIVER. He hasnt made a single play down the field. I'm not even talking 20 yards. How about 10? How about coming off the line, putting your foot in the ground, getting open and giving Cassel a target?

I'm not willing to accept the idea that Cassel is so god awful he makes all our wide receivers look terrible.

McCluster hasn't done shit yet. And he was utter garbage in Indy.

Don't buy any of his ****ing t-shirts.

I agree. This whole one game one season BS is ridiculous. He dropped his first pass today.

Saying that Dexter McCluster has been a disappointment this season is an understatement.

There are dozens of players the Chiefs could have selected with that pick that would have had far more impact. The only hope at this point is that he improves as the season (and hopefully playoffs) continue.

He may be hitting a rookie wall. Physically, he probably isn't tired, but couldn't condition/practice like a rookie needs to. Mentally, many rookies are spent this time of year, especially one with as many uses as McCluster.

Unlike a certain unnamed Drama Queen, I'll defer judgement for another 2-3 seasons. You think this board would've learned to stop being so knee-jerk.

From the opening game against the Chargers, he was key up until he got hurt. He has been pretty much absent since then.

If you have hope for McCluster, you need to pin all of it on him being able to become a successful slot WR. Returners are generally as good as they will ever be the moment they set foot on an NFL field.

No, it doesn't. The rookie wall refers to the constant non-stop workouts leading up to the draft, the minicamps after, training camp, THEN the 16 game regular season.

Many rookies have gone over an entire year without giving their bodies and minds adequate rest. Without proper and constant conditioning and practice, very few rookies can perform at a high level. McCluster could be going through this. He wasn't able to practice for nearly 2 months. You think he's going to play at the level he was right out of training camp? Unrealistic.
