Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Now I don't know about you guys, but fans of Skyrim/WoW/etc. would like this game that hits stores 2/7/2012.

-The Developer is Big Huge Games. Responsible for titles such as Rise of Nations and Age of Empires III. Not very popular games but I think this one is worth looking at.

-Published by Electronic Arts, so graphics will be top notch. It is single player RPG.

-Available on XBOX360, PS3, and PC.

Trailer here:

yeah, they are scattered around random merchants, you should google their locations. I think I have 120 inventory and I'm pretty sure I bought almost all of them.

Gotta be feckin kidding me.

Fail.

Those are some damn good games, and all story choices made carry over from game to game. ME3 is supposed to be the culmination of all of your previous story choices wrapped up into one big epic ending.

Sure, youll be able to answer a quick pop quiz about what you would have done in those situations presented in the first two games, but that isnt going to fill you in on the huge amount of backstory you will have missed not having played those.

I honestly dont see how you could enjoy ME3's story not knowing anything about the first two games.

Multiplayer is going to be the only aspect of this game you will get 100% out of.

I know right? I haven't played ME1 or ME2 but I'm not going to buy ME3 because I don't know any story for the whole series. Does that make me awful?

I've thought about this too and you are probably right. But I don't think I'll ever get time to play the first 2, I have trouble trying to start a game that's been out for a long time, don't know why I just do.

Not really.

ME1 and 2 I believe are both just 20 bucks brand new these days. If youre a fan of action RPG's, its tough to go wrong with Mass Effect for 20 bucks. Theyre a bit on the linear side, not a lot of free roaming to do, but the combat and the character types/abilities are pretty awesome.

Not to mention a pretty damn good story.

Plus, its a lot cooler to live through the events and make your choices, seeing firsthand the results of your choices. Taking that dumb quiz in the beginning of 2 (and 3 I guess) and just answering how you wouldve handled those instances will never compare.

Ive been waiting to see how this story ends for a long damn time. Less than a week now.

damn, maybe I'll have to make time for the first 2.

I blame Call of ****ing Doody for me missing out on great games, I never could put that game down and that was my only gaming time. I missed out on so many gems over that game. I'm completely finished with COD now, it's dead to me so I won't be missing any more games like that. Hell, if MW3 didn't suck so much ass I woulda missed out on this gem that this thread is about.

just read somewhere that you can't ever craft purple items because those are consider unique games items.

level 10 blacksmith does give you extra bonuses to the item you make for free though.

purple isn't necessarily stronger than blue

I dont think anything ever smithed will be purple. As I understand it, purple items are graded as "Unique", as in "You wont find another one."

Smithed items can repeatedly be churned out, so they arent unique. Ive also had several blue items that were the same level as some purple items, but the blue one had several advantages over the purple item.

I think its just a distinction of rareness, not necessarily the best, ala WoW.

This i would agree with, my best items are almost always blue/green.
