The Browns had an elite running game and a D Line as good as the Buccs with a slightly better secondary. Chiefs led 19-3 at the half (should've been 23-3). Mahomes absolutely shredded that defense. And the Browns run game was non-existent.
Buccs don't even have a run game. Their offense is pretty much designed on the pass. Our secondary is Top 3 in the entire league. We have arguably the best safety duo in Matthieu and Thornhill. Shutdown corners like Sneed, Breeland and Fenton.
That mighty Bills offense was completely muted throughout the game. I just don't see how this is not a double digit win for the Chiefs.

The 49ers were superior in every way for the matchup against KC.

Crazy good offense that was efficient and also was dominant in the run game for big chunks and explosive plays. Dynamic TE who was a huge threat to make big chunk plays.

That matches up really well against KC’s D.

Really excellent defense that pressures with 4, plays great zone concepts, and has an elite pass coverage MLB.

Fred Warner is better than David or White

Secondary had better S and a scheme designed to frustrate Kc’s offense.

And it didn’t matter.

The Bucs fit in nicely with the Bills/Titans/Ravens tier of teams. They’re a good squad.

Just not good enough.

As much as I detest staylor, he's right about one thing. Styles Make Fights.

The Bucs defense is designed to swallow the run and pressure the QB to mask their weaker secondary. But they don't have the personnel to cover Travis and the speed of Tyreek at the same time. And even then, can Todd Bowl Movement write up a gameplan to slow down the Chiefs? The only defensive coach I can think of in recent years who's consistently slowed down Mahomes is Belichick, and Bowl Movement is no Belichick.

And on the offensive side of the ball, their strength is their passing game, which we excel at defending. Can we contain Mike Evans, Gronk, and Miller all game long? Probably not, but we can probably limit them to 20-ish points, which is easy enough to manage.

It's just not a matchup that favors the Bucs. The only wild card I can think of is if Tom Brady sniffs his magic Super Bowl pixie dust and becomes Prime Brady, which I don't see happening.

The Bucs are going to be so focused on Tyreek, Kelce and either Hardman or Watkins are going to eat.

I expect at least one play like that snap where Hardman was going to the house but dropped the ball.
