Jacksonville is doing everything they can for TL. Hopefully this means Shenault is on his way out...

He doesn't have that quickness in a phonebooth to exploit stuff underneath and I've seen little evidence to suggest he has the toughness or ball security either.

Nah, Hardman's a gadget/go route guy. And that has value - but not what I'd be looking for there.

New Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said he thinks Laviska Shenault can help the team as a return man.

With Jamal Agnew (hip) still rehabbing and in question for Week 1, Shenault is getting work as a returner after the Jaguars added Christian Kirk and Zay Jones at wide receiver over the offseason. Shenault's offensive role looks like it has evaporated under the new staff with Kirk, Jones, and Marvin Jones likely settled in as Jacksonville's new trio. Shenault is still a candidate to be playing elsewhere by Week 1.

This is frustrating for me. I think this guy could be a weapon.

I think Pederson and the Jags probably feel the same way.

I'm genuinely curious of what kind of upside you see in him?

He's slow, had awful hands last year. Would really only be productive on routes under 8 yards. I see him as 4 year NFL player who quickly dwindles away. I don't see what he would bring to this team, at all. That's my opinion of him. What's yours?

Similar player to Treylon Burks.

Not the right player for all systems - may be a strong contributor in the right system. I think Reid is very good at finding ways to use guys with unique skill-sets and Shenault could be one of those guys.

Strictly from a measurables and physicality standpoint, he's not much different than Deebo. And Deebo would've faded away in a lot of organizations.

It would take some creativity but there are skills there.

But this is your problem. For some reason you see him as a 'buy low' opportunity, and that's only the case if the Jags were willing to sell him low. And there's no indication of that's being a reality.

I see him as a poor mans Jarvis Landry. But I'll give Shenault credit that he has really good lower body strength and balance and he was used tons near the LOS in Jacksonville the first 2 years, but his 1st down conversion rate was one of the worst in the NFL last year which just tells me he's not a move the sticks kind of guy. I just don't find Shenault to be unique at all personally.

I'd take Treylon Burks all day over him, and I didn't even like Burks that much going pro.
