The drop off between 1st and 2nd round in this draft isn't as big as in some other drafts, honestly. The more I look at this draft, the more I think it's just not a good year for WR's, in any round.
Exactly how I feel. I think they’re pretty much all developmental prospects that will be available to us.

I think they are concerned about WR and RT and the solution is gonna be providing solid depth at both spots

Completely disagree with that last part.

It's not a great WR class at the top, but once you get to our range, it's pretty much just like any other draft the rest of the way.

I think as long as you're looking at these WRs as guys that have certain skillsets and roles in an offense....it's fine. There are plenty of guys that could find a spot in this offense over the next 1-3 years and succeed. No, there aren't any top flight WRs but we don't have an opportunity at drafting those guys no matter what year it is.

Go watch 5 minutes of Josh Downs and tell me he can't step in and play...yes he's short.

Hyatt isn't nearly as polished and has a lot more developing to do yea.

Right. That's how I see it. There aren't any "stars" just role players. Not that we don't need those, I just think people need to temper expectations.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if they went DB high again. They value the back end a lot.

Alot of people are talking themselves into some of them, which, there are a few I do think could be good players here.

But none of them are legit first rounders IMO that I would take at 31. Maybe Hyatt, but even then.....I dunno.

It really comes down to what you like, Zay Flowers is going to be a very good NFL player.

Except it isn't.

The talent level this year seems to about 2/3 of a round behind last year. The guys being mocked towards the end of the 2nd round aren't even as good of prospects as Skyy Moore, for example.

Once you get past the top 2 or 3 WR's....I think I'd take Skyy over them so they become a bit redundant

You have to figure that they're going to bring back Justin Watson at some point. It's not like he's swamped with offers right now. That gives you a WR group of MVS, Toney, Moore and Watson.

That probably means they draft a WR at some point in the draft this year. I don't think it will be high. Probably around the 3rd or 4th round.

On the other hand...this defensive line class is pretty ****ing good and it's deep. I could totally see them going DE and DT in the first 2 rounds unless a top WR or top OT falls.

Devonta Smith weighs 170lbs...and Zay is shorter so he's actually thicker...

Santana Moss was productive as a small receiver in a tougher era of the NFL.

DL sure seems to be where the value is at in this draft, at least in the earlier rounds.

I think you're greatly exaggerating the difference outside the top 3-4 guys.

I don't think there's a significant difference between Rashee Rice and Skyy Moore in terms of talent, and Rice should go around the same spot.
