He did about as little as you'll see a guy have to do to "earn his money".

The only thing he's really demonstrated is that he's fast. And unfortunately, he didn't time as well as pretty much everyone thought he would, so now we get a little bit of a question mark regarding his speed. 4.41 is good. It ain't special.

We have to project literally everything else because, well, we haven't really seen him do it.

Oranges and bananas are both fruits. You can compare them to each other even if they're different.

Flowers and Hyatt won't offer the same style of play but both guys can be very effective NFL players in their own ways.

I don't know what any of these guys stats are. Don't care. No idea what Flowers put up in stats or Christian Watson.

I'm looking purely at what the player is doing on the football field. Maybe that's wrong, but it's worked for me so far.

And i'm fully aware that i could be 100% wrong on Hyatt. But to me, his floor is a lesser Hardman and his ceiling is Will Fuller.

That's a 2nd round pick imo.

If he's timing at a 4.4 doesn't that suggest it wasn't JUST speed that he was using to create that production?

Flowers and Hall/Foskey would be ideal first 2 picks unless someone unexpectedly slips.

I actually think Hyatt didn't time as well as he looks on the field but some of that is because he seems to gain speed over distance so he isn't a fast starter.

Will Fuller was a damn good WR. His issue was that he was hurt all the time. Give me a healthy Will Fuller at 31? I’m ****ing good.

We're drafting dead last in 2. If you're drafting at the back of the round, there's no use in haggling over 15 spots.

If you think he can be Will Fuller, that's a worthwhile pick at 31 because a healthy Will Fuller would FEAST in this offense. And he's not gonna be there at 63.

And one of the most OBVIOUS issues with Moore last year was that the dude couldn't function through contact at all. Those jet sweeps, etc... didn't work with him because he had no chance against NFL talent.

You can't ignore quality of competition when making these comparisons. When a guy is running past JuCo quality players, it really makes the tape meaningless.
Watson had almost everything you could ask for. He was tall, he was big? He had elite speed and he was very coachable. He just had hand issues catching the ball.

I just don’t see a guy like him this year. Not saying that’s bad.

I think Hyatt is the closest with better hands. He could legit be a nice weapon, but I fear he will be Hardman this season bc of Andy's history with rookie WR’s.

Is that better than one of these DL ass kickers?

You can watch his videos and if you see something that suggests it wasn't just speed i'd be more than happy to entertain it.

Sure.

If the Chiefs take Hyatt, im all in. I don't want anyone thinking this is a Skyy Moore situation with me.

I don't dislike Hyatt. I just think think he has a lot of question marks, and typically WR's with that many question marks are 2nd round picks.

And despite having 'everything you could ask for' he didn't produce in the FCS.

And folks want to act like Watson was some great success last year. He was a disaster for the first 1/3 of the season and by the end of the year racked up 6 of his 7 scores and about 40% of his yards in a 3 game span.

Watson still has a lot to prove. What he produced for GB last year was almost identical to what I predicted for Moore when I was cast as the resident Moore hater.

But when it's Watson he was some rousing success?

I agree. I think he's faster on the field than he timed. But ****, timing as he did does not help any.

I think Zay Flowers is also faster than he timed.

I'm not arguing that. I'm simply comparing the two players as the argument was presented. To which, i don't think they're anything alike and stated my reasons why.

I DO think Watson showed more NFL level skills than Hyatt has coming out of college. But im NOT sitting here saying one will certainly have a better career than the other.
