That was garbage and you know it al. Davis got saved by his D all game. Ned should have had him on a short leash this inning. He's got blinders on and the only thing he's looking at is the goddamn pitch count.

I will never, ever understand this obsession with blaming the manager instead of the pitcher.

This isn't F'ing playstation, you don't get someone warming up at the slightest whiff of trouble, and you can't pull someone on a dime, they need at least 1 or 2 batters to get warm.

The LEAST important head coach/manager/guy who blows the whistle during practice, of all the major sports, is baseball. By far, not even close, baseball. (exception: unless he's shredding your pitcher's arms, see: Muser)

People harp on the manager for little-bitty penny-ante crap all the time like lineups, or not perfectly forseeing when to pull a guy with the fan's 20/20 hindsight. The heat builds, they fire the manager, and the guy who is ACTUALLY important, the GM, gets to skate through 3 or 4 manager firings before people finally wake up and look at him.

We should cheat. Have a signal come from the dugout for "you suck" so fake an injury so someone can come in from the pen and get as many pitches as they need to get warmed up.

Cant wait for Paulino and Duffy. No knock on Davis, I think he'll be fine. He had back to back bad outings, this one was on Ned. But we need Duffys K machine to get healthy.
