Why have 50,000 people paying for ticketss to see the game when you can have 5 million? In a few years the NFL will be PPV and it'll cost as much as the cheap tickets in the stadium. They are already on the slippery slope and are picking up speed. Just like $300 tickets at the stadium, a few folks can't/won't pay that much but there will others that will gladly take their seat.

I can have Peacock Premium for 3 a month plus tax. mighty white of them to give me a discount since I already pay for Xfinity internet.
Still not sure if it is worth it. I have a premium login that I can use Sat.

It is probably only a matter of time, like Toyota is going to do with their car dealers, local stations and their broadcasts being eliminated. |

I signed up with my daughters student discount, 1.99 / month. Hell, the price of a fountain drink. Just not right to be put in this position.

Will the game be on Sunday Ticket through You Tube TV if you already paid for the package? Or do you still need a Peacock subscription?

A huge corporation has obviously made a decision that it knows will piss off some of its customers. Why would a business piss off a good % of its customers? The only reason would be that they see even more money to be made going down this path even if they lose some existing customers. The NFL would have done this earlier but broadband wasn't available in enough parts of the country to make it economically feasible. They have obviously decided that broadband has reached enough customers that this is now economically feasible.

What I don't understand is how either of those convictions is so firm that you wouldn't just bite the bullet. The time, money, and effort required to sign up, pay $6, and cancel it is minimal compared to sharing with a friend (and probably getting booted right when they game starts when they restrict multiple streams based on IPs), using your child's college discount, dealing with unreliable pirate streams, going to a sports bar, listening on the radio, or not watching it altogether. My priority #1 is being able to watch Mahomes and Kelce in a playoff game, with a reliable stream, and without any hassles. I'd feel differently about it if this were the Packers and Cowboys game that I don't really care about, but that's not the situation. As it is, they kind of have us by the balls, and $6 just isn't worth the battle to me. |

I just hate the fact that in order to watch a single NFL game, I have to sign up for a streaming service I don't want or need, and then cancel it when the game is over. It just feels sleazy to me. If the NFL came out with an al-la-carte service that allowed you to pick and and choose from every game, each week, that they stream on a 'Reliable' platform and charged $20.00 per game (or whatever amount) I would be fine with it. Now get off of my lawn! |
