Frank needs to be fresh above all else. He's our motor and if Perry can continue to use his size and skill-set at an above-average clip then we can have a fun March.
going 4-3 in the last 7 and losing to the likes of OSU, KSU and WVU kinda took the air out of the sails a little bit...

Its not that they lost, its how they lost that has me feeling an early exit is in the making this year....

Saturday at Norman is what we're talking about, presuming we win at home tonight.

All hands on deck tonight.

Oops, my bad. Yeah, if we win out tonight, I guess you could see lesser minutes from a few guys vs OU.

The difference I see, and perhaps this is just blind homerism, is that this year’s team has had a bunch of guys step up and lead the team in different games. Selden has had huge games, Mason had a stretch of huge games, now Perry is killing it. Oubre, Graham, Green, have all had 20+ games, and occasionally another big will go off for 10-15. Last year it was all on Wiggins after Embiid went down, and at that point his skillset was too limited to overcome that.

Yeah, they've had some deflating losses on the road in the toughest Big 12 schedule in three decades. We're spoiled as KU fans because those games usually go our way; and we had ample opportunities in each of those games to win them and/or change momentum. It didn't happen, but that doesn't mean this team is guaranteed to shit their pants. The talent is still there. Self is one of the best coaches in the country. There are plenty of positives to balance the negatives.

I guess I should have been more detailed.

I'm not advocating sitting anyone an entire half or anything. But, giving guys like Perry and Frank some extra rest and allowing guys like Mickelson and Svi some playing time.

Yeah, we have plenty of guys that can step in and be the man for a night.

Our two point offense is just so goddamn piss-poor though. That's what concerns me. Guess we can just hope Perry straps on the Superman cape all month long.

A lot of teams with a lot less than this year's KU team have gone much further in the playoffs.

The most amazing thing about this year is that we don't have the horses, to keep up with a lot of Self's teams on paper. But Self has managed to whip this roster into a winning roster. It's mind boggling that a team that starts 6'8, 6'8 down low in a Self system can win. And then add in the fact of how tough the league is, and it blows the mind.

A lot of these titles, you could argue, are due to having the best talent in the league. Not this year. UT should kick the **** out of us. OU should be able to beat us. WVU is damn good. OSU always has our number, and KSU hates us and always gives us their best. Oh, and I have it on good authority that this is ISU's year ().

Winning the league with this team is on Self. He's got more out of less as much as he have, save for maybe the TRob and Tyshawn year.

Yeah, I can't argue with any of those points. Except the ISU part, I've heard that next year is really their year.

The difficult non-con had to help, enormously. Walking in to conference play without that grow-up-quick grind wouldn't have ended as well, i suspect.

I wouldn't be surprised if we made a long run. Case in point, last year's UCONN squad isn't better than this year's KU squad and they won it all. It's about matchups and getting hot.

Stop KU's perimeter play and out-rebound KU and press them and you'll win.

KU doesn't have the necessary bigs from underneath to stop teams from going to the bucket like Aldrich Withey and Embiid were able to do. Embiid turning pro killed this team and it was a stupid decision on his part. He's out of shape and probably wont play much unless he gets his act together. Myles Turner could have helped this team but he decided to go to a loser like Texas...seriously how does Barnes still have a job?

Texas could fire Barnes and hire Marshall or Howland and would be immediately a top 20 team.
