I see much more twitch than you give him credit for. And I think he's much better in his cuts than you're suggesting. He makes REALLY smooth cuts and I think that may be why he looks faster than he times. He can make his breaks at full speed and that helps him get open and get that downfield separation that is actually MUCH harder than people realize.

No, I don't think he's going to be some possession receiver. I don't think he'll be Sammy Watkins because that's simply not how he's built. But I think you're sleeping on his movement. Just because he's not a foot-fire guy who's going to make space in a phonebooth doesn't mean he isn't doing things apart from just running fast that allow him to find separation.

Look at it this way - guys who don't hit for power can have great plate discipline but they very rarely draw walks because pitchers aren't afraid of them going yard so they don't work the corners as much and they throw a lot of strikes. Meanwhile a guy with lesser strike zone command than the banjo hitter is likely going to draw more walks - why? Because the power creates nibbling and that begets BBs.

Is it the speed that helps him accomplish some of these things? Yeah - but that won't change at the next level, IMO. He wasn't out there running past FCS guys. He was going against dudes who have every bit the speed of your average NFL CB. And those things he was able to build off that speed will translate.

I just cant see any way the Chiefs go WR in round 1.

There is just to much need at other positions and the talent level of WRs is consistent after the top 4 or 5 through the next several rounds.

Trey Palmer is the guy to watch in round 2 or 3. Fastest WR in the draft, wont go in round 1. Perfect eventual replacement for MVS.

Round 1 is DL, most likely an Edge Rusher. DL if there is a stud still there, OT is possible if day 1 starter is somehow there. Maybe even a Safety.

I think they have to be in on Trey Palmer and he can be had in round 2 or maybe even 3. This allows them to address a bigger need and still land a special WR.

Im calling my shot!

This safety class blows absolute balls...

WR is literally the biggest need on this team that and DL, so acting like there's no way they go WR is weird when DL is much deeper.

Like i said, if the Chiefs pick him at 31, you won't hear a complaint from me. I DO think his speed is real, despite what he timed. That in itself is a skill we can use. But my official position still stands: I don't think he's shown much of any NFL level level traits outside of speed, but that doesn't mean he CAN'T do it, just that we haven't seen him do it. And if the Chiefs have seen it, or project that he can do NFL WR things, then fantastic.

MY next mission is figure out what's wrong with Trey Palmer.

My thing is after Hyatt the class really drops off and your odds of getting a player go down...

Jartavius Martin is the only 1 that I think can be a good starter one day..that's how bad it is.

Money better spent on a DT, DE or WR.

Our safety group is fine right now. But i think you'd like a guy you can potentially develop or at the very least, provide some special teams depth. Im all for taking DB's every year and our CB room is crowded right now.
