Can't believe the regular season starts tonight. Just seemed like the Finals ended a couple weeks ago.

He had to shoulder more of a workload because his best teammates were washed Kevin Love, JR Smith, and George Hill, not Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

KD got to play one-on-one coverage all series because of that and he still wasn't even better than LeBron statistically.

Context matters a lot. People said Mahomes had an easy path in his first SB playing game managers in the championship game and Super Bowl. That’s what made this last year so great beating 3 high profile QB’s in a row.

I watched both Finals. I saw them matchup against each other, and how that went. I don't care what excuses or stats you try to present. KD was the best player in both series. It was his peak, and he's one of the best basketball players ever. It's not even a huge knock on Lebron.

People are idiots and looking for flaws in the best player to have ever played the game because they can't admit he is better than everything that came before (Mahomes). Same thing has happened to LeBron for two decades now, so I recognize it well.

As did I. LeBron was clearly the better player and it isn't all that close. If you replaced the two of them with each other, it would have been laughable how bad Durant would have looked in that one-sided series.

I always love when Lebron stans call the Warriors titles with KD 'fraudulent' when the 2 Heat titles he won actually did involve blatant tampering and salary cap manipulation to fit 3 superstars on the same team.

The Heatles will always be more illegitimate than the KD Warriors simply because of just how blatantly Lebron, Wade, and Bosh conspired together to bypass the checks and balances that were meant to keep parity in the league. Always bizarre when I see crying about super teams because Lebron invented the trend.
