Kansas Football is going to go 10-2

Yeah, you heard me right. Look at this schedule, it is ridiculously easy. How glorious, KU should be able to sleep walk to 8-4. If they get lucky and play well 10 and 2 is not out of the realm of possibilities. Last year, KU was better than their record. They went 6-6 and lost just about every game by about 2-3 points.

Central Michigan
-WIN 27-17
SE Lousiana
-WIN 49-10
Toledo
-WIN 34-24
Florida International
-WIN 34-17
at Kansas State
-WIN 17-14
Baylor
-WIN 24-13
at Colorado
-WIN 17-14
at Texas A&M
-10-93 LOSS
Nebraska
-0-63 LOSS
at Oklahoma State
-WIN 31-28
Iowa State
-WIN 21-10
Missouri
-WIN 24-21 OT

KU could potentially be 7-0 going into the Texas A&M game before they get whacked, haha. Glorious.

The South portion of the schedule gets rotated every 2 years. In 2004 & 2005, KU played Texas, OU, and Tech. In 2006 & 2007, they play Baylor, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State. Your guys have had the same type of scheduling. Right now, you're in the Tech, Oklahoma, and A&M cycle. Next year or the year after, it will change cycle and you will play Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Texas. You just never noticed, apparently.

I think some KU people are clouded that Kansas constantly beats ranked teams or something. 1st game out of kansas and they win 19-13 against a shitty CU Buffallo team, which had their rb give away the 1st possession and possible score litterly.
I love how people bring up that never played a game outside the state until yesterday. First of all, in the same state or not, Manhattan is not an easy place to win. Tell me, when was the last time Mizzou won there? I do believe that, until this year when KU broke that string, MU had the same type of string of losses in Manhattan against the Wildcats(1989?). You guys still have to play there this year.

And I love how people say CU is nothing. Remind me again who was it that CU beat in Boulder just a couple weeks or so ago? Yeah, that's right, OU. Whether you want to believe that game was a fluke or not, the fact of the matter is that they did do it. Their defense is pretty good and they play really well at home. I know they're down right now, but I think Hawkins has them on the path to building up that program to being very good again. Remember all those good Boise State teams over the years? Yeah, that was Hawkins.

I guess it is kind of hard to compare the teams at this point. Your team has to go to CU in a couple weeks and then KSU a couple of weeks after that. We will see if they can get through unscathed. KU fans may be a little excited or overzealous about their football team this year, sure. What the Hell did you expect? It's been a long time coming. But MU fans need to take a step back, as well. You guys still have some things to prove.

Lzen:

I know the above is borne out of frustration with everyone not giving KU their due....and you have a right to have a chip on your shoulder about it. But anyone bashing KU, needs to remember how everyone gave shit to Boise State last year about playing a "cupcake" schedule, yet in the end they beat a pretty good OU team.

By the same token, I think you are wrong about MU. MU, in my book has proved itself (thus far) to be a totally different team than in the past. Yesterday showed that:

1) The loss to OU hurt this team's pride and they decided to take it out on Texas Tech, something in the past that would never have happened with a Pinkel-led team.

2) Mizzou isn't just all about the stud passing game and Chase Daniel. The fact that the Defense rose up and pretty much shut down the Red Raider's #1 rated offense speaks volumes. Plus, MU actually showed a ground game without Tony Temple, which is something i didn't believe would happen.

It's my opinion that KU's win in Boulder against a pretty decent Colorado, and MU's win over Texas Tech, should shut up detractors for both schools.

MU looks fantastic in my opinion. It's going to be one hell of a game at Arrowhead. Whodda thunk it? KU and MU look to be competing for the Big 12 North.

We've proven enough at this point hangin with OU and probably should've beaten them if we didn't implode at the end of the game. As well as beating Illinois, Texas Tech, and then a Nebraska team that was considered top 25 material, kind've like KU's win over K-State in that same regard. Cupcake schedule is a part of it, KU has played 1 ranked team. It's fine, have your head held high that you are winning, but play better competition and you may get that respect, we'll see how the arrowhead battle has gone, but don't say MU hasn't proven anything yet, they've proven alot more than KU at this point. I consider KU a top 25 team but i don't believe they've earned the #13 or 15 ranking they've gotten. Maybe cause everyone else keeps losing might be why they are moving so high. Beat a good team like the tigers for example, i will believe they are for real and not make excuses. Im excited forthe arrowhead showdown.

Please don't try to pass off that Nebraska win as anywhere near as tough as the KState one, Nebraska is horrible.

I love how MU fans try to cite the Illinois win as a big win. Juice Williams went out with an injury, and the backup qb singlehandedly gave the game to Missouri. He had 3 or 4 lost fumbles. 2 within the 5 yard line. That would have been an ugly game had Juice played the whole time...but their memories are short enough to forget that. We all know they have short memories with KU beating them 3 of the last 4 times.

BWillie007, again that aTm prediction was beyond ridiculous. I mean, I understand predicting KU to lose there. After all, KU had never won there, but c'mon. 93-10? Nice thread and prediction, btw. I think KU may end up being better than 10-2. If nothing else, probably no worse than that. It's a good time to be a Jayhawk.
