Russ Lande says Chiefs should "stick to their board"

Geno Smith has all the tangibles - arm strength, accuracy, athleticism - and has a solid football IQ. He has poor mechanics and footwork. He's super raw and won't be ready to start right away, even in the shotgun NFL. Probably not worth a top 5 pick.

He sees Barkley are the flip side of the same coin - VERY polished, NFL-ready, but tangibles are average. Higher floor, lower ceiling. Would typically be a mid-1st guy (15-20).

He thinks Pioli is going to go with another late-rounder like Stanzi. And he hasn't once said he thinks that's the WRONG idea.

The whole team has been great without Haley.

Breaston, and the passing game in particular are re-invigorated.

It really seems kind of dumb to me when people act like Haley was a great coach. We were never going anywhere with that guy. Coaches don't get fired half way through the season for nothing. He was a bad coach period. who cares what players did under him? He wasn't the answer.

Barkley isn't the best QB in the upcoming draft.

Haley is a GREAT coach who had a shitty GM.

Big Ben is having a career year.

Haley made chicken soup out of chicken shit - how else do you explain 1-7??

Haley had this team mathematically in position to compete for a division championship when he got fired. When they beat San Diego last year on Halloween, they were tied for first in the division. Without Charles, Berry, Moeaki, and the (ahem) 'best' QB on the roster, he went into Chicago and won with Tyler Palko at QB. Almost beat Pittsburg. With Tyler Palko.

Haley CAN win 2 games with guys off the street - Shabby Piscatelli, Rashard Langford, Tyler Palko, Fece Richardson...

How come RAC's fat cushy ass is leading them to the cellar???

1-7

What's the difference between then and now??

You really are dense, dude.

Haley is gonna deliver Pioli's pink slip personally on Monday Night, when his team hangs a 50burger on this rotting atinking carcass of a 'franchise'.

It's only fitting that Cassel be under center.

It's not fate...it's a reckoning.

The problem isn't the players in the 1st it's the guy picking them.

If Pioli is still here Tunsis is still driving the bus...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I keep TELLING YOU GUYS...

The ONLY reason we beat those teams last year is because of the QBs they rolled out.

Tebow
Hanie
Painter
McNabb
Boller

That is 5 of our 7 wins. We haven't faced QBs like that this year.

Haley is a great OC and a below average coach. This team looked unprepared and weak under him last year. We beat shitty teams and lost to anyone good under him in 2011.

You put guys like Tebow, Hanie, Painter, McNabb, & Boller out against this team coached by RAC and you will lose 4 of those 5 wins.

Haley seems to be as good a play caller as the people around him with horrible ****ing people skills...

We beat shitty teams and lost to anyone good in 2010; eventually, you do that enough and learn to (here it comes) beat really good teams. That's how Atlanta and Houston have done it. Both of those teams have had stretches where they didn't look good, didn't meet expectations...but they kept their coaches together, drafted well...and have QBs.

Haley was saddled with the absolute worst GM in the league and a subpar QB, with an inadequete backup.

He was never allowed to even get comfortable before realizing he had a raw deal on his hands; that's why he was pissed. I've heard he was done with Cassel by '09. Told Pioli he wanted a real QB.

My kinda coach.

Why you think Weis was brought in to 'fix the QB'??

Because Haley wasn't interested in fixing Cassel's broke ass.

Looking back Haley + Pioli was fire and ice.

I'm no fan of Haley's but he'll be employed far longer than Tunsis Pioli...
