Really? Well, Cya I guess

I see some overly clever mod has decided to change my username and profile picture. I understand this is CP tradition of a kind, but not one I have ever participated in. I have never changed my username, and never will.

Nor will I participate on the board when someone changes mine. The mods are of course well within their rights to change my name, and profile pic and I am well within mine to "vote with my feet".

There was a thread on this before. Some kind of glitch had caused some usernames (including mine) to be changed. I posted something just like this, and of course had to pay the inevitable price when it turned out that it had nothing to do with the mods.

If this is in fact goodbye, then best of luck to the Chiefs whenever they play the Donx or Raiders. It's been a fun decade of discussion and arguments. And, of course, GO PATRIOTS!!

(Yes, yes, "wow, what a whiny crybaby." Bottom line, I don't mess with mods, couldn't even name most of them, and don't expect them to mess with me -- just as they haven't for a dozen years....until now).

yes, 12 years in DC and I'm thin skinned.

You're the one that works yourself into a tizzy about Peyton not being the awesomest of awesome quarterbacks. Your'e also the one that looks the fool for posting threads about the presumptive NFL MVP and a quarterback that is going to a record sixth Super Bowl.

Quote:
I'd wager a strong amount of $$$ they've posted more times on this board than any other board they frequent since I started in on my annual Tom vs Peyton shit ...
I don't frequent any other boards, so that's true. It's also been true for like 10 years now.

You'd think "Patriots fans" would want to celebrate being in a Super Bowl with other Patriots fans ... and not spend time being troll'd by a Chiefs fan who berates Tom Brady mostly out of sheer jealousy (and also because he's not quite as good as P. Manning).
Why? what's the challenge of being part of the vast, vast majority?

I came here years ago to discuss politics and football with people who had very, very different views than mine. Unfortunately, the political discussion these days is pretty weak compared ot what it was when we had some really bright people around. There are a few very bright folks around, but most of the people carrying the conversation aren't anywhere near as good at it as people were when I first got here.

But hey, if changing his name to 'Asterix' (which, is hilarious) is the reason we finally get rid of the Patriots scum from this board ... then thank you Flopnuts, I love you man.
The best part of returning is disappointing you.

I said what was needed for me to return. It happened, I returned.

I know the San Diego sun has baked your pea-sized brain into near worthlessness, but I would think even you can figure that out.

Good try, but obviously not. In case you hadn't noticed, I've been here when the Patriots were dealing with Spygate, lost the perfect season, the 2011 Super Bowl, and the 2013 AFCCG, so thinking that I'm running away from anything is pretty ridiculous.

They could change it to "Awesomenix" or anything else, and I'd still walk.

My username is my username. They can change it, I can leave. I'm not upset and I'm not worried about it. I don't consider it mod abuse, and i'm not mad at Flopnuts or any other Mod if they do it. It's simple cause/effect.

So is he leaving or is he not? I feel like this is a really long commercial break during a killer Lifetime movie.

End the suspense friend!
