Monday Night Football - Colts @ Ravens

Hey, someone had to do it

Lets put some distance between us and last night, not to mention the ongoing X Factor disgrace... and gain some perspective by watching this other brutal beatdown

Indy won't hold up to the Ravens physicality, they're gonna get smacked around tonight IMO

Wentz might even cry and stomp his feet on live tv

Denvers defense is a product of facing 3 absolutely shit offensive teams to start the year. Watch the ****ing games

Literally beat a shit Colts team because of a hurt kicker missing 2 chip shots, took a fluke 66 yarder to beat an absolute****ing terrible Lion team, and a fluke win over the Chiefs thanks to an unforced fumble. They really should be 1 and 4

Chiefs might not have won the AFC West and the #2 seed in 2018 if Ravens do not go to LA and beat the Chargers in December after the Chargers had won at Arrowhead.

If the Ravens are a division champion in 2018 and go 14-2 in 2019 and the only losses are to the Browns and the Chiefs, then the 2019 Ravens swept the AFC East the NFC West including NFC Champion 49ers and also beat the AFC South Champion Texans. So the 2019 Ravens beat 4 division champions and the Bills and the Seahawks who were wildcard teams.

The Ravens beat the AFC South champion Titans in the 2020 Wildcard round.

In 2020, the Ravens were 5-5 against playoff teams including the playoff results.

Lamar has been the QB when the Ravens won "big games".

If you watched the game last night, you could see that he made a lot of good throws.

Like I said, Lamar is going to be doing this stuff for a long time and some folks will bend over backwards to ignore the victories and his contribution to them.

Ravens have a lot of guys they were counting on on injured reserve, and they are somehow 4-1.

Sometimes football is just like that, feel like the last few years that the Chiefs benefited and won some close games cuz the ball bounced their way. It's not happening this year and it is for other teams. Long season and a lot left to play.

Steve Young offered a harsh comment about the Kansas City Chiefs following the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

Young, who is one of the analysts on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” was talking about the Bills-Chiefs game prior to Monday night’s Colts-Ravens contest. Young said that the Chiefs had lost their “alpha dog” status in the AFC.

“Everyone knows that in the NFL, they know the alpha dog. And the Chiefs were the alpha dog in the AFC. I felt it changed yesterday,” Young said. “The defense of the Bills, the scar tissue of the Bills, Josh Allen … it just felt like they’ve traded places. And the alpha dog in the AFC yesterday changed to the Bills.”

Young was challenged by Booger McFarland, who questioned whether a game in early October could flip things. He disagreed and said it’s on the Bills to prove it in the postseason.

The Chiefs beat the Bills twice last season. One of the victories came on the road in the regular season, and the other came at home in the AFC Championship Game. Buffalo getting the win was a big deal on Sunday night.

Even more worrisome for Chiefs fans was Andy Reid’s quote after the loss.

Kansas City is 2-3 this season. The Bills are tied for the best record in the AFC at 4-1.

Lamar wasn’t under rated by CP. He was exactly what a lot of us thought he was (back then).

He has improved and you are seeing people start to change their opinion.

There is nothing wrong with that.

I will say this: none of this matters if he tanks in the playoffs again.

I predicted a 1-4 or 0-5 start for the Colts. They’ve played 4 top 10 teams and have been absolutely ravaged by injuries. I knew it would be tough slogging starting out.

That loss was absolutely brutal though. Will be interesting to see how they respond.

On the plus side, the schedule gets easier starting with the Texans this week and Wentz is getting better each week.

They’ll need to go at least 8-4 and probably 9-3 the rest of the way to make the playoffs and they still have to play Buffalo, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, Arizona, and Tennessee.

1 game sample sizes are awesome! Especially when you throw out the first 4 games where Mahomes was leading the league in TD's.

Lamar has had more games like Mahome's Sunday game than he has had games like he had last night.

Lamar’s game last night was because the Colts had Bopete Keyes and someone named Anthony Chesley at cornerback. And they lost Andrew Sendejo, the dude playing safety who has only been on the team for 3 weeks to injury during the game.

Lamar is nothing special. He was playing an absolutely gutted and gassed defense in the 4th quarter last night.

Still a great performance by him. Hard to put up those numbers against no defense, never mind doing it against NFL players.
