I don't think he meant to dis KU with that comment. I think he was saying that they had wrapped by that point at the very least a share. In any case, I was surprised that the MU guy was defending Alexander in this case.

Well, as much as we hate this team they have accomplished some good things. Here is a list of Tourney teams they have beaten:

#11 Texas (2X)

Shit, they had a great year. Top-10 in the polls, the computers, even with the toughest schedule in 10 years. Won their 11th straight League and are a 2-seed. That's an incredible season by anyone's - and I mean anyone's - standard. Dunno what they'll do this month but if Ellis returns next year our lineup is stacked.

So we are most likely losing Kelly and Cliff to the pros....Is Wayne leaving at well?

Who are we replacing them with? Wish Kelly would stay a year. When he is on, he is he most exciting player to watch on this team.

Selden has had a bad year. If he didn't leave last year, hard to see him leaving this year. He's not getting drafted in the 1st round.

And they're not finished recruiting, so who knows.

I'm the n00b here but I'm pretty damn pessimistic on our chances to make the round of 16. No hope on not getting embarrassed by Kentucky again if we get that far. Picked the wrong year to quit smoking and jump on this bandwagon.

KU will not get hammered by UK ( providing we get that far ) this time. Lose to UK, uh, yeah, but hammered, no. Just 2 different teams, UK is good, but not unbeatable by any measures at all.

Can KU upset UK ? Sure they can, but it will take a near perfect game hitting everything outside and UK having an off game. KU will have to dribble drive, dish back out to shoot, you just can't challenge them inside at all. If you do, you have to take it straight at them and get them to foul.
