I saw NMSU in person when they played in Wichita this year. They have a lot of size, which could potentially give KU problems, but I don't believe they shoot the 3 extremely well and I see KU winning. Somehow, Duke escapes that reputation, despite having it happen in 2 of the last 3 years. It might be a tough game for KU but I see them moving on the second round.

KU has made it to Sweet 16, 6 out of the last 8 years.

Good post. But KU has had some close calls. If they get behind a slow ass team like that It could be bad.

The problem with KU is almost every time they lose to someone in the tournament it is to someone they shouldn't, regardless of the round. This year is no different. If they go out before getting buzz sawed by kentucky it will be some team they should have beat. Having almost all the tourneys save the 2008 one been let downs, it's easy to look at this team and see an upset. Particularly since we don't have the horses we normally do.

Perry is broken. Selden has had his head in his ass a good bit of the year.

The guys I look to shine are Mason (making VanVleet work will be good), Traylor (he's way better in space than anyone they have) and KCs buddy Lucas (more beef than anybody else on the court)

Yeah that's a shit ass draw for them too. First they're way better than a 7 seed and Indiana is a tough draw for a team that should be a 4.

That said, if it becomes a 3 point competition, baker and VanVleet and sometimes Cotton can fill it up.
