He is a burner whose 40-yard dash time will greatly help and support his grade despite limited playing time at a Western Athletic Conference school.

ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS
Wylie is highly effective as a returner, as he is very decisive and has the speed to make one cut and get upfield to take it the distance. As a receiver, he is very quick off the ball and gets into his route immediately. He understands how to use his quick feet to get off the line without cornerbacks pushing him off his route. He is a good route runner who can get open thanks to his acceleration and ability to break on a dime. He is a consummate deep threat and could be effective running quick screens and getting yards after the catch at the next level.

WEAKNESSES
Wylie is an undersized receiver who has been limited by injuries throughout his career. Teams will be turned off by his durability and inability to consistently see the field at Fresno State.
But if you change the bold font a little--look what you get!

wylie as a kick returner

Quote:
led the WAC and ranked fifth nationally by averaging 15.38 yards per punt return... returned two punts for a touchdown - the first was a 67 yarder at No. 10 Nebraska and the second was a 79-yard TD vs. No. 5 Boise State... his punt return for a touchdown at Nebraska was the first allowed by the Huskers in 10 years... had six-straight games from Sept. 10-Oct. 15 where he returned a punt for 30 yards or longer

The more Tannehill talks the more he scares me. He doesn't seem like he has a competitive edge. I guess being relaxed is a good thing. Bruschi's eating him up on ESPN because he said there's no expectations, he is just going to come in and compete... even though he was the #8 pick.

Yeah, a smaller slot WR makes more sense than any of the 6'2 guys.

NFL.com gave him a 4th round grade.

If royr and jd1020 don't like him, I'm really warming up to the pick.

Green can't block for shit, but he's a huge target for Rivers. Love the pick. Love all our picks so far. Don't think anyone has drafted better than us this year.

We don't need a deep threat WR because our QB can't throw it deep. He struggles with anything over 15 yards.

He'll be groomed to replace Gates. Very good pick.

You guys are having a good draft, but it's not the best. There are a few teams who are well ahead of your draft, IMO.

Tampa has absolutley crushed the rest of the league with what they've done in the draft and free agency.
