I’m not so sure about that.

Andy had the late Jim Johnson as his DC and also had a young Spags, Rivera and McDermott on his staff.

Andy had some nice defenses and guys like Brian Dawkins, Hugh Douglas, Troy Vincent and Jeremiah Trotter.

Hard to say. I don’t think Tom makes a difference in the Bucs beat down in the NFFCG but obviously Andy would likely win the SB he lost having Tom and probably has a better shot at the close NFCCG losses to the Rams and Panthers that McNabb played horribly in.

I think we now know what Andy can do once he has that great QB by his side

Yeah he was great with defensive game plans, game management, and adjustments. Yes Brady was amazing but let's not forget how disciplined, well coached, and intelligent his teams were. They forced you out of your strengths.

Purdy looked extremely legitimate and passed my eye test. If Shanahan gets Purdy back to playing the way he was last year, he will get to another SB sooner rather than later with the defense they have.
