I'm still waiting for that list of Covid thread posts that were banned for being misinformation and are now the truth in what happened. It would actually be interesting if they exist.

How about mine? I was banned and definitely didn't say anything political.

Unless stating that the vaccinated could still spread covid is political?

Again - this isn't a DC thing. It isn't a DC bleeding into the lounge or media center or anywhere else thing. The folks that couldn't help but post every bit of hyperbolic fear porn they could find are no better/worse than Black Ops hating birds (or denying their existence or whatever).

These are completely independent discussions and the hand-wringing over being 'embarrassed to be associated" with the DC subforum coming from folks who have no problem with "would you masturbate to Andy Reid eating au gratin potatoes" is just laughable.

PS - CP doesn't mean shit to people who don't post on CP. Your internet score isn't going down because of the DC subforum, folks. And if you ever have somebody IRL call you out because you mentioned the place and they come back and say "man, you must be a loser because that DC area is a cesspool" - find yourself less stupid friends.

Just a pile of pearl clutching hypocrites and little else.
So what you’re acknowledging is that the non political Covid thread had discussion and posters that would never show up in DC. Posters like Otwp, hamas, Mecca, etc… sure plenty naturally fell out but it sure seems like these are the types of posters that fell off after all the forums became DC-ized. I know it’s not the only reason but i doubt it’s a coincidence that a lot of left of center main forum posters stopped posting here the past few years.

The only reason it’s there is because it was heavily moderated to keep it from becoming too DC.

So what about the other range of topics that don’t get that special thread privilege? How many threads about kaepernick and the flag started in the lounge with a healthy balance of left and right, until DC inevitably latched onto it and it got banished to DC. And then the casual left was pretty much squeezed out from having an opinion.

Let’s be real. DC is very conservative. You have the hard right but also a healthy amount of traditional conservatives. Then you have a few hard left who never post outside of DC. So basically you’ve created an environment where anyone left of center can’t post any political opinion. They’ll either get ganged up on in dc or banished in the lounge.

You weren't given a reason the first time or did you just not care for it?

It's been months since anyone was banned from that thread and I have no idea if I was the one who banned you from it.

You keep saying this, but who are these posters you're thinking of?

My response is simple.

No. It shouldn't be closed.

I don't go there, and actually have that section blocked on my version of CP so I'm not even tempted to go there, but that's me and that's how I deal with political discussions when I'm not face to face with someone.

And while there may be some honest, heart-felt discussions on legitimate topics, life's too short to deal with the idiots, trolls, and riff-raff such discussions on the internet tend to attract.

So, as in keeping with all my other social media outlets, my politics and my religious beliefs are my business and since I do not inflict them on you, I'm quite content to know nothing about yours either.

Now, who's got the latest on mini-camp?

Is Gaz wearing rouge as well? That might take some of the sting out of that last option.

The media bias thread alone makes DC worthwhile.

The irony is it’s full of the misinformation people are crying about, it’s just from the media itself.

Seriously, how hard is it not to click on the damn forum?
