Hamas...I worked with a badass bartender in Chicago...he worked where I worked 1 night a week...he had a downtown bartending job...he'd clear $600 every night he worked...two nights a week...Friday and Saturday...said he couldn't handle it because he always got way too coked out...but he's working 6PM-4AM two nights a week making $5K a month...

Do you even make HALF of that being a full time teacher?

Hey, congratulations that you are an accomplished student/teacher/intellectual...you make 1/2 as much as a coked out party animal who works twice a week getting ****ed up and taking home really hot, really drunk, really ****ed up blonde chicks.

Now...me...I don't do that whole scene...nor will I be a bartender the rest of my life...but the ones who are actually good and people savvy...can easily make 6 figures every year...

I think, right now, this year, Sanchez, Cassel and Palmer are all in the same tier of QB's in the NFL...

Not close to the first tier...not quite in the 2nd tier...but probably just in that 3rd tier...

If I HAD to choose a QB to take that final drive in the 4th quarter right now...sure, I'd take Palmer right now...but we'll see...I would bet money against the Bengals making the playoffs this year.
I guess I'd have to disagree about Cassel and Palmer

Jahvid Best gets a lot of hype while never producing against the top teams Cal plays, he's fast.

I don't think I'd take him in front of CJ Spiller though.

Secondly, we all did talk about the draft this past offseason in that forum.

I will tell you this, no matter how good the DT prospect, they are always a ****ing crapshoot. I could see Best or Clausen being busts, and I would bet a shitload of duckts on McCoy never being more than a bottom tier starter in this league...if that.

Tebow is a Bust/Bust prospect, IMO.
now this is a word i dont know, is that duckets like money?

well...who's MVP of that team...Odom or Benson? It's certainly not Palmer. One or two good drives a game, regardless of when they happen, doesn't make you a top tier NFL QB.

Palmer might be the 12th best QB in the NFL...sure, I am impressed he has stayed injury free thus far and has only been sacked 10 or 11 times...(which is low for him)...but you can't tell me that Benson coming out of nowhere and carring the ball 111 times and totally dominating the Ravens on the ground doesn't make him AT LEAST equally, if not more, valuable than Palmer.

If Cassel had a horse like that peeling off 4.5 YPC 25-30 times a game...I think he'd have a lot more time to make plays to receivers that were actually OPEN.

See here's the funny thing: You keep projecting everything from the lens of a perpetual 17 year old.

Life isn't Cocktail, and not everyone is motivated by money.

Hell, my first year as a GA in Grad School I made 7800 ****ing dollars. For the entire year. But it didn't bother me, I was happy doing what I wanted to do. And you know what? It paid for Grad School that would have cost 20K+ a year.

What you don't mention is that said bartender is probably going to be in and out of rehab for the rest of his life or ****ing dead of an overdose.

Here's a little tip about people who live like that: they're not happy. I know because I've known people like that. Hell, I went to high school with a guy who was a "mixologist". Recently got booted from Survivor. They're pretty much all bullshit artists who are a mile long and an inch deep.

Most people grow out of the frat boy stage. Good luck to you in your continued development.
