Even if they penalize it 30% of the time, it means the mugging defense is getting away with stuff on 70% of the snaps and that's HUGE in terms of trying to slow down a really good passing offense.

The only offense that seems to get these defensive penalties called on a consistent basis (60% or more of the time) is an offense featuring Tom Brady. Pretty convenient when Brady's defense is allowed to mug the opponent receivers, but nobody is allowed to do the same thing to Brady's receivers.
Certain teams are allowed to do it when they want to manipulate the spread.

It wasn't a good game for the refs but it was "fair".

The claims of rigging are just so ridiculous.
Some of it is misinterpreting incompetence vs intentional manipulation. The refs generally suck and cletes group calls too much.

As you said everyone else is convinced the chiefs got helped and chief fans think the Titans got helped. It's amusing to hear both groups so convinced. Are chiefs fans just smarter than other fan bases? Are they smarter? Or do the refs just suck?

It's gonna happen. I'm not worried about Thuney and I'm not going to be annoyed that he lost a rep.

He just needed to get lower in his stance to block standing up like that was bad technice and Thuney should know better. Better stance better results and not getting nocked on your ass. Leverage wins most of the time. Poor leverage.

I heard kelce talk about it on his podcast this week how he learned that he had to be the aggressor when teams try to play him physical because he figured out that he couldn’t leave it up to the refs to throw flags. How before he would release head up and not fight back to make it obvious they were holding but they weren’t getting called, so now he will attack one shoulder to get them off of him… but the LB, how on earth could it ever be okay for a LB to just blind side the **** out of a receiver running a route?
