He obviously grabbed the wrong girl. I'd have slid past that one and asked the girl behind her.

Player of the Day
Honorable Mention: Michael Massey (24) - KC (AAA) went 3 for 3 for with a home run, a double, and two walks. Massey has hit .324/.382/.552 with 16 home runs and 12 stolen bases across two levels this season and also went 3 for 8 in a short stint in the big leagues last week. The former University of Illinois standout has taken another step forward this season and with the Royals looking like a sure thing to sell at the trade deadline Massey could be spending the rest of the summer in the big leagues. We spoke with Royals hitting coordinator Drew Saylor earlier this week and this is what he had to say about Massey: The biggest change we’ve made with Michael is focusing on having the mindset of working your at-bat, but also understanding that you need to wait for the pitcher to put the ball in a place where you can drive the baseball. Getting him to trust that process has allowed him to drive the baseball more often. He thinks pretty analytically and critically about the game. I also think that cleaning up some of the mechanical stuff with regard to his turn, he was a pretty handsy hitter, and I think his hands tended to jump his turn a bit. Really, we just had him learn to trust that his hands would end up going where they needed to go and it’s allowed him to make better contact more often... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn't personally, but he did get a pretty moderate dose of boos during his first AB. By the time he came up again, the usual apathy that comes with being a fan of the 2022 Royals had set in and nobody really GAF. Biggest takeaway from the game was that Nick Pratto has a sweet swing and looks like he could be legit. |

So, I've been to 6 games this season and happened to be at the debuts of BWJ and Pasquantino and the home debut of Nick Pratto. That's pretty cool....
not so cool, the Royals are 1-5 in those games and the 1 was opening day. lol |

Well....to be fair, they're only 18-23 when I'm not there so they suck either way! LOL
But, I only have one more game scheduled to attend this season and it's against the Dbacks (the boys have remained Dbacks fans) so I guess I'll be kinda happy either way. |

Yankees get: Benni and Barlow Royals get: Trey Sweeny, Yoendrys Gomez, Estevan Florial, Beck Way I would think that would be pretty close on trade value. PB get your ass in here and figure that one out. |

With Michael King potentially hurt and Chapman a big question, Barlow would make a LOT of sense for the Yankees.
Volpe and Medina would be off the table in that deal, but I could see the Royals asking for Oswald Peraza as the headliner. Not sure NY would do that. I also am interested in Alexander Vargas, who has had a bad year and is a potential 40-man roster issue for the Yankees in the fall (he's Cuban, so he has to be added this year or be cut, and he is struggling in A ball).

Also on target: Trading Benintendi and Barlow for Oswald Peraza and Alexander Vargas. I like that better. Peraza is really good but the Yankees have a glut at SS and Volpe right behind him.
