I gave it a miss. As usual. A link you other guys may appreciate: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page Well, it's late, I'm drunk, and I think I've exposed quite enough of my inner geek for the evening. Cheers.

Interesting tidbit from a Katee Sackhoff radio interview:
“I didn’t know 'Battlestar' Could Go Darker.” She said season 3 ain't got nuthin' on season 4. This shit's apparently getting DARK. If you want to listen to her (no spoilers) the interview's here: http://www.kufo.com/pages/578377.php...ontentId=74598 |

Battlestar's Olmos OK If All Die Edward James Olmos, who plays Adm. William Adama on SCI FI Channel's series Battlestar Galactica, told SCI FI Wire that it's not inconceivable that all of the characters will die by the end of the upcoming fourth and final season--and that would be OK with him. Not that that is in any way a spoiler for the upcoming season. But Olmos said it would be fitting for a show that he called a "commentary on our times" and the "most worthwhile piece of television" he has ever done. "Basically, if it’s true to form, no one makes it," Olmos said in an interview at SCI FI's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York earlier this month. Producers have been tight-lipped about their plans for the show's climax and dénouement, though it's believed that the fourth season will take up the sudden reappearance of Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) and her revelation that she's been to Earth. Meanwhile, four people must deal with the sudden knowledge that they are Cylons. If everyone were to die? "I think that people would be shocked, and they'd be hurt, and they would be totally, totally frustrated," Olmos said. "But I've got to tell you, that's a truth that people have to realize. We may do it to ourselves [in real life]. It all depends on us now and what choices we make." Battlestar Galactica will kick off its fourth season on April 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with the episode "He That Believeth in Me." --Ian Spelling http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index...ory=2&id=51211 Battlestar Finale Rewritten, Depressing The best thing about the recent WGA strike? It gave Battlestar Galactica writers the chance to rethink and rewrite the entire second half of their final season, according to showrunner Ron Moore, saving us from episodes with titles called "Oh Jesus, Can I Have Five More Minutes? No? Okay, Then, This Time Around Starbuck Is A Cylon, Whatever." Speaking at a press conference, Moore explained the seeming change of direction: The writers had worked out what the arc in the back half [of the fourth season] was already... I think [the strike] actually benefited the show in some ways in that... we started to think about things that we could change, things we could make better. And when the strike was over... we wrote the second half of the season all over again. And as to how the season will end now? Edward James Olmos isn't optimistic: It's devastating... don't watch this program; it's not an easy ride. http://io9.com/372712/battlestar-fin...ten-depressing Adama: Brace for contact my friend. Tigh: Haven't heard that in a while.

When I watched it the other day, I was thinking Adama may be. But who knows? I could be way off. Just thought a shocker like that would be something they might want to do to freak us all out.

The new BSG sucks so much that it's going to more than double the run of the original series (the original, including the joke that was "Galactica 1980" lasted for 33 eps, the new series will run 81), it's been critically-acclaimed since day 1 and it's won numerous awards, including Hugo and Saturn awards, a Peabody and an Emmy. So you may not like it, and that's fine, personal taste being what it is (hell, I think American Idol's a piece of shit, but millions disagree with me...), but that doesn't change the reality that BSG's considered by many reviewers to be one of the best television series to ever air, in any genre.
