****Official Mizzou vs. Northwestern Alamo Bowl Thread****

Game starts at 7:00 CST from San Antonio.

This will be the last game for quite a few starters and is the last chance to end this disappointing season on a high note and get to 10 victories for the second consecutive season.

I think what really sucks is we don't see more SEC big 12 matchups. It is almost like a different world completely or even a different game they play. I guess MU did have ole miss there for awhile, but how about a regular season LSU Texas game.

I think the SEC does a fairly good job of living up to the hype... not that anything can live up to the media's hype once they get their claws around you, whether it's the SEC or USC or the New England Patriots. But, the SEC has one 4 of the last 10 NCs, not including Auburn, who was the 3rd undefeated team that got left out one year... and while the Pac10 has USC and the B12 has OU and Texas, the SEC has had LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee.

The Big 10 just needs to go away until they figure out it's no longer 1947.

I have a brother in law that love the Big 10. Drives me nuts.

If they could just remove Florida from the mix I would despise them less.

I am not a big 10 homer at all, but it does seem like one of their teams gets to the rose bowl every year.

That's why the Big 12 has to go 7-0 during the bowl season...that will shut them up.

Shit, you think YOU get tired of hearing about them? That's all I hear about - primarily Michigan and Ohio State (and Notre Dame, of course, which might as well be in the Big 10). I'll pretty much root against any of them at this point, unless they're playing each other, in which case I root for an injury-riddled tie.
