Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.
It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.
Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him. So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period? Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote Alex: 11 wins Geno: 8 wins Last edited by Hammock Parties; 12-30-2013 at 02:56 AM.. |

Yeah that never happened to Gannon I'm sure. Every play that broke down he'd work a little Gannon magic. Who are all these people getting compared to Gannon?

Give us some deets, man. The 411. Some sterling anaysis. You know, the stuff the rest of us don't know that you are always talking about. A translation of PFF's stuff on this game would be swell, as well. I don't really know what I'm looking at when I log in to PFF, that's why I am so dependent on your insight. TIA Dinny |

![]() The contract to Chase looks pretty dumb though- Brady Quit Jr. not impressed at all. The Ricky to Rico combo looks deadly though- lol |

And as I've said in every post, we won't see that all year. You eventually have to spread defenses out on the back end to open up some lanes |

and this is another aspect snivelers are lost on -- this offense is a ball control offense.

Geez, I make a post stating that we won't see all year what we saw last night and I get furiously attacked. If you can't understand what I was saying, I guess that's on you |

Team will start to try and take the short passing game away. That'll leave the middle open for intermediate routes. I think this is a good game plan that can work.

Geno/Alex, Sanchez/Cassel. I fear it's the same shit 4 seasons apart. Jets/Chiefs QB losers.

On one play that broke down Alex lost a yard. Small sample size. What, in that singular play, makes him comparable to Gannon? Hmmm? When you make a claim, the onus is on YOU to support it. It's what people say about any QB who has decent mobility and a weak arm. I heard the 'Cassel can't be Manning, but he can be Gannon' shit for 4 years. I guess my lack of a gannon induced boner jades my opinion on this compliment. |

Go watch the pats or the broncos offense. They'll take their occasional deep shot but like us, we'll live in the intermediate zones for our "deep" balls |

Pretty good question!! It reminds me of when Smith was drafted by SF.
I think the niners had tim rattay, and the team was shitty then. A few HC's later, finally found one that had an offensive mind, and actually played the position himself. Something tells me if Sanchez starts this season, and they have a losing record, and they make the switch to Geno that Ryan will be let go. Then there will be another HC, with his own offense or defensive mind. Which in some cases, will set a QB back. Especially a rookie trying to grasp the current offense. So as a result, I have to say (Alex will win more in the next 5 years.....) Some people dont want to admit it, but you need a defense that can help keep you in the game. You need a few weapons other than the qb to throw too, you need a run game to at least take some of the pressure off of the passing game. The Packers have recently has been looking for a running game, and to beef up the defense, as well as the Saints. It goes to show that having to score 35pts a game is great if your blowing a team out, but if your defense it continously failing, you have to tighten up that aspect of the game as well. Not all about the Qb. What help makes the Qb successful, is the working parts around him on all three phases of the game. And I feel we are definitely a few steps ahead of the Jets. ****Its also funny with the results as 73% feel Smith, but in reading a lot of these posts you would think otherwise. ironic even. **** |
