K-State, Iowa State, and TCU in a 3-way tie at 10-8, and Okie State at 8-10.

Granted, it's not a full season, but just to add a little bit of context. The national leader in raw PPP, per KenPom, averages 1.18 PPP on offense. The national leader in raw PPP defense allows 0.849 PPP.

In the second half vs. Baylor: Kansas scored 1.72 PPP and allowed 0.743.

Just watched @KUHoops-@BaylorMBB game. Some people poo-poo halftime adjustments. And many coaches don’t “see the game” well enough to make adjustments. Nobody “adjusts” better than Bill Self. Went from “all 5 switching” to Harris & McCullar locking up Bears’ guards. Changed game.

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Bill Self made two tactical changes Saturday afternoon at halftime against Baylor that were mental adjustments as much as they were basketball adjustments.

Self told his best two defenders (Dajuan Harris and Kevin McCullar) that they would stick with Baylor’s best two guards (LJ Cryer and Adam Flagler) no matter what. Instead of switching all ball screens, Kansas would hedge with its big man instead of switching, allowing Harris and McCullar to stay on Cryer and Flagler. Then on the other end, Self wanted to play bully the Bears. Forget settling for jumpers, stop standing and start attacking the rim.

For the entire game in Waco and the first half Saturday, Kansas had switched everything and it allowed Baylor to dictate the terms. In the second half, the matchups were the matchups.

“Dajuan Harris and Kevin McCullar,” Self said after the 87-71 come-from-behind win. “They set the whole tone defensively. Then, of course, you worry about the right things, you shoot the ball better.”

The right things, in Self’s mind, are defense, rebounding and an attacking mindset. And that’s how Kansas, once down 17, outscored the best offensive team in the country by 29 points in the second half.

Very much expected for UNC. They weren't good last year. Not good this year either.

UK might’ve been preseason number 1 when they lost to Robert Morris in the NIT.

They would’ve had a great recruiting class, because I think that was Nerlens Noel. Like 2012-2013?

For the past 4 years, which includes a very good 6 week stretch last season that culminated in a historic comeback by KU and choke job by UNC in the natty, UNC has been pretty mid during the regular season.

Past 4 seasons they've had 10+ loss regular seasons, including a 2019-2020 season in which they went 14-19 and losing in the first round in Roy's final season.

I specifically phrased the syntax of my post as to not diminish from what KU did while also trying to highlight how mid UNC's been recently. Both things are accurate, are they not? For Kansas to have a historic comeback, UNC had to historically choke. Kind of like the Patriots and Falcons in the Superbowl.
