OK lets see it

Whos got some kick butt video of the greatest LB in NFL history Aaron Curry? What I've found is really pretty unimpressive. I can't see in film why he's ranked so highly. Anyone have some good video they can point me too?

Several teams need a LT right now that are in the top 10. The Seahawks could be a playoff team and I don't see them taking a QB that will be on the bench. The Jags have lots of holes and they Garrard, who I think Del Rio really likes. San Fran already has a lot invested in Smith and I think Singletary likes Hill too. Denver has Orton and Chris Simms who both have starting experience and Simms does have some ability.

The team that really needs Sanchez is the New York Jets. They really need him, but moving from 17 to 3 ain't gonna happen. So, yes I believe that Monroe has more trade value than Sanchez because of where teams are selecting in this draft.

ok genius.... please refute my argument. please enlighten me with your brilliance.
There's 3 times as many tackles in the first two rounds of this draft as teams that need one.

Monroe will have virtually no trade value outside of somebody in the top 6 like Cincy wanting to get him.

In a perfect world, no. But, if KC thinks they have their QB and LOT on the roster then I'd rather take the Patrick Willis MLB than reach for a guy rated lower. I don't discount MLB as much as others on this board.

Combine that with the fact that there are 10-12 tackles with 1st or second round grades, and the fact that there were 7 other tackles taken in the first round last year, and several other teams still have a LT entrenched, and that there are only 3 QBs with second round grades, and yeah, I'd say the LT supply outweighs the demand.
The three teams you named (Oakland, Cincy, and Jacksonville) are obvious trade partners and wouldn't have to give up astronomical amounts to get Monroe. Also, there is a big gap between Monroe and the rest of the tackles. It's not just about quantity, it's about quality. Especially if you need one to start day 1. It is very probable that if we end up trading the pick, we trade it for Monroe, not for Sanchez.

Why don't you look at the caliber of LT you need to win the Super Bowl compared to the caliber of QB you need, and tell me which position is more important?

Of the last five teams to win a Super Bowl, none had a top flight LT. Meanwhile, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger are your Super Bowl winning QBs.

I would take Stafford but I don't think he'll be still on the board. I wouldn't take Sanchez at #3 because he's a Jr with only 16 starts. The odds are so against him making it that I wouldn't give up the #3 for him. I see him as excellent trade bait though.

Taking an offensive tackle is competely reeruned because we have Bradon Albert at left tackle, and only a certified moron drafts a right tackle with the #3 pick, but it's okay to select a second or third sting quarterback with that pick?

A (Smith/Monroe/Oher/Smith) = Dumb, because A + B (Smith/Smith/Oher/Monroe) does not = C (RT position)

or

A (Curry) = reeruned, because A + Y (Boiman/Biesel) does not = U (drafting a linebacker in the top ten)

but

A (Stafford/Sanchez/Freeman) = Smart, because A + K (Cassel/Croyel/Thigpen) does = H (backup rookie quarterback/clipboard holder/coffee fetcher/jock washer)

Got it.

Stafford will be gone, so it will be Sanchez. That would also totally screw up the team. This isn't just about getting value. It's also about building a team. Can you imagine that locker room? That would just undermine Cassel. I still think with the current possible trade partners that Monroe would have more value bc of the teams in the top 10 that need LTs.

Nobody is true value.

At this point, I'd take Sanchez and try to move Cassel.

You aren't keeping both QBs if one is drafted at #3.
