Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs
Well, it looks like the deal is done.
https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed Jay Glazer @JayGlazer 49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith Jay Glazer @JayGlazer Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith. |

MOTHER****ER!
![]() Alex Smith is Dorsey's "original sin." We're getting ass raped in a trade for another team's shitty QB. The next 4 or 5 years will be a complete waste, and we'll be right back where we are today, the worst team in the league, still looking for a QB. I swear, this team never learns from its mistakes. This is our best chance in 30 freaking years to draft a 1st round franchise QB, and we trade for Matt Cassel 2.0. This means we're drafting a LT with our #1 pick. True fans rejoice. ****! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm seriously thinking about not being a fan anymore. It's like whoever runs the team is trying to suck on purpose.

The hype on Reid identifying QB talent is hot air. Personally I think McNabb was overrated but regardless even to the extent of success he had he was the 2nd overall pick for cripes sake. Kolb is garbage. Vick is the most overrated player in the league and can't read a picture book. Other picks: Mike Kafka, Andy Hall, AJ Feely, all trash. And now this poop sandwich paid a kings ransom for Very frustrating |

Why? Our ability to trade back just quadrupled.

As a WVU fan...I'm sorry he isn't going to KC. They have all the parts except QB. Alex Smith is serviceable QB. That worked for the Ravens in 2000.
This ain't 2000. Giving up 2 second round picks for Alex Smith is absurd. That is literally the worst trade since Ditka gave up the entire Saints draft to get Ricky Williams |

Report: Chiefs giving up a 2013 second and change for Alex Smith
The Chiefs apparently have their quarterback now, but they paid a handsome price for him. According to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News, the 49ers will get a second-round pick this year and “a similar pick in the 2014 draft” in exchange for quarterback Alex Smith. That’s a haul for the 49ers, who have more draft picks than will ever make their roster this year (which could put them in prime position to make a run at disgruntled Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis). Paying that kind of price also speaks to the Chiefs figuring out a deal to extend Smith, since that kind of price for two years seems excessive. |
