How do we stay humble as fans? This is quite the luxury to be a fan of this team anymore. How do I make sure my 15 yr old son understands this is an exception, not the norm?

I am very surprised we are still favorites, albeit 1 pt favorites. Seems to me the Bengals should be 3 pts or better.

Force him to watch games from the first to third quarters while participating in the GDT.

At the end of the third quarter turn off the power to your entire house and only re-engage with society the next day.

That'll provide a good length of time for him to feel as if this team is a failure. Let him know that that dark period without power represents what it felt like to be a Chiefs fan pre-Mahomes but with the light never coming back on...ever.

This may be blasphemy, but if PM doesn't practice all week and is severely limited come Sunday, I would not at all be surprised if Henne gets all the reps this week, Reid puts in a game plan surrounded with him starting and using everything weapon and plays he is best at to get through this game. Not having anything but basically the 98 yeard drive to go off from the tapes may be to the Chiefs advantage against the Bengals.

If Henne starts the game, we lose. Simple as that. We're not beating the Bengals with Henne.

Nope. Henne is good enough for spot duty, perhaps a series or two or against lesser teams. KC hasn’t been able to beat the Bengals the past couple of years with Mahomes zero chance with Henne.

I know we only used Gay like this a couple times but would like to see Willie Gay lined up near the LOS and repeatedly send him at Burrow.

Their offensive line has been a weakness every time we've played them and we've never once dominated them in the trenches the way we were supposed to.

Their Oline was new and improved and like us last year, it took them time to gel. They were very good from Halloween on, until they started dropping like flies. The Bills crowd wasn't loud and their D-front is abysmal without Von. It will be a different animal in Arrowhead with the noise and 3 new lineman.

If you go by playing style on both sides of the ball, the Bengals play like the Schottenheimer Chiefs of the 1990's except they have All-Pro QB Burrow, All-Pro WR Chase, Pro Bowl WR Higgins, Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon, and Samaje Perrine.

Bengals play a deliberate style and make it a physical game without drawing personal fouls.

Andy Reid's teams play more physical than they get credit for, but Chiefs may need to emphasize playing more physical without drawing personal fouls.

I agree but I don't think the odds are much higher if PM can't maneuver as his game demands all game either. And if he does start and it's reflective of his play early, I could see Reid pulling him in favor of Henne.

Here's the thing. Mahomes may have to be Superman to recover enough by Sunday to be himself. But even if he does, the Bengals may still be his kryptonite.
