Let's start it... Warriors going for a back to back and 3 out of 4. Yikes for Gordon Hayward.

If there is any doubt the players have most of the power in the NBA look no further than Memphis firing David Fizdale after Gasol’s comments last night after being benched in the 4th quarter. Fizdale is one of those good young coaches that deserved more time.

Absurd.

Gasol came off to start the 4th because that happens a lot; first team guys, especially bigs, often rest to start the 4th so they can be fresh for the stretch. When he was off, the Griz whittled a 10 pt lead down to 2 points so the coach of a struggling team stayed with the hotter unit.

I guess you'd like to see him communicate that better to Gasol but it's a two way street and Gasol could always just ask behind closed doors rather than air laundry like that.

I dunno; not a good look. I think Fizdale is a solid coach with a roster that got old/thin real fast. Nobody is winning 50 with that group so why not let him see what he can do?

Agreed. I thought he was in his 3rd season, but nope he is just 20 games into his second season and gets shit canned? That is some bullshit.

Lebron isn't happy either.

The Lakers aren't firing Walton to cater to a finicky Lebron in his decline years.

If that's what he demands, I guess he'll just be a Clipper.

The night after Lebron getting tossed from the game, Anthony Davis turns into a huge dipshit and gets himself DQ'd.

Who are you kidding? Of course they will. LeBron is their only chance at any kind of legitimacy in the next decade.

You're right. They'll fire Walton to cater to LaVar Ball when he demands to be the coach.

OKC beats GS now about to lose their 3rd-straight. I wonder if the Russ-PG-Melo experiment is going to work? It is still early but.... Idk... Doesn't look too promising right now.

Great question and one that I was about to ask after watching them get beat handily by Orlando.

Here is a great article from The Ringer mostly blaming Russ iso and ball hogging. Sounds familiar

Dont know. I do know that Chris Paul sure is working out in Houston. The Rockets are damn good! They could be a legit challenger to GS. So GLAD Melo signed elsewhere!

And I just want to say as much grief I gave the Cavs early in the season they have played a ton better of late with Lebron leading the way. He maybe having one of his best seasons yet and has a legit 3 pt shot. Scary...

I agree and I honestly didn’t think it would work once he got back.

I didn't either, only because I thought Paul was broke. It's still early, but the Rockets have steadily gotten better. They are methodically killing teams. They have a BUNCH of guys that can hit the 3 now. If one is off, several are on. They just keep coming and hardly any drop off when Harden is on the bench. They get up by a few points, then before you know it they're up by 20, and when its all said and done they've drained nearly 20 3's and all the starters, plus several bench players, are all scoring double figures. Capela is really coming on - dude is so quick and plays hard. They have a deep bench. Defensively they lost Beverly, but Tucker / Paul make up for that. They're a fun team to watch and IF they can stay healthy, they'll be a real factor.
