****Official Mizzou vs. Northwestern Alamo Bowl Thread****

Game starts at 7:00 CST from San Antonio.

This will be the last game for quite a few starters and is the last chance to end this disappointing season on a high note and get to 10 victories for the second consecutive season.

Precisely how I feel. I think we'll have a slightly down year next season while Gabbert & the new WRs adjust/learn, but we do have a few talented recruits for the defense - Richardson, Tatum & Harrison.

The best thing that could happen to MU Football next year would be to NOT have a Heisman candidate on the team.

That shit is nothing but a distraction and in MU's case, it shows.

Defensive end commits to Kansas

By J-W Staff Reports

Quintin Woods, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound defensive end from Bakersfield (Calif.) Community College, on Saturday orally committed to Kansas University, according to Rivals.com.
Woods, who is known as a strong pass rusher, chose KU over Kansas State, Washington State, Arizona State, Boise State, and UTEP.
Woods played high school ball at Southwestern High in Flint, Mich. He signed with the University of Michigan in 2006, but needed to attend junior college for academics.
Woods had 80 tackles, eight sacks, and 14 tackles for a loss this past season.
“It feels real good to commit today," he told Rivals.com. “I have a home to look forward to. Now I can work extra hard in the weight room and get to Kansas and contribute the best I can. I am glad this is all off my back and I’m ready to go to Kansas.”
They have gotten several ranked 3 star commits, too. It is slowly getting better in the recruiting area for KU. You have to remember from where they came.

What's to choose?! "Alright kid, would you like a banana split, or a kick to the balls five times"?

That is nice and all, but I put we will see when they sign people like this.

Mizzou has landed 5 star recruit J. Maclin from St Louis. Maclin is one of the best player in the country and is up for many awards, including the John Mcawesome special reconigition of awesomeness, the Frank Mcstein Jewish recieving award, he is also above average in the studio where he recieved the Dr Dre reach out for rhymes scholorship Maclin set the record in high school for Punt returns, Yards, YPC, Recieving, Interceptions, Touchdowns, Field Goals, tackles, Tackles for loss, awesomeness, blackness, toughness, gangsta-ness, and doesn't own a honda prelude. Several video's have shown his ability to karate chop large blocks of ice, wrestle bears, and talk woman out of going to bed bath and beyond

I gotta admit, it was down right hilarious. Everyone here seems to make fun of the Big 10 and talk about how weak they are. Well it's pretty funny when one of the crappiest teams in the Big 10 takes your team to overtime. Northwestern is terrbile all around, their offense and defense are laughable, yet they almost beat the vastly superior Big 12 Mizzou Tigers.

So did Kansas. Whats your point? This MU team is not the one we thought we had at the start of the season. The D is so bad, any team will be in it in the end. But thanks for your ribbing, Last time I checked a win is a win.

My point is, you guys (not specifically accusing you) were all over your high horse coming into this year, got your QB papa Smurf on ESPN, and you guys folded like a lawn chair. I have been ribbed for the past two years on here about the Buckeyes. All I heard was how Mizzou could beat Ohio State, and how the Big 10 is so God awful, and don't deserve to be a conference, I just think it's funny that a Big 10 bottom dweller almost beat Mizzou.

Wait a second. Northwestern is terrible all around? If that is the case, how are they ranked in the top 25?

Our Qb did fold, and he admitted that the team won in spite of him. Last I checked, several people on ESPN were choosing Northwestern by a TD or two.

Give me a ****ing break - Northwestern was still a ranked, nine win team. They may not be able to hang with the mighty Suckeyes, but that doesn't make them Indiana.

And the only reason the game was close is because Daniel has been reduced to an ineffective headcase. Had Pinkel pulled him at halftime, as he should have, the game would not have been close.
