Sunday Ticket comes to PS3
Those of you who don't want DirecTV, go out and buy a PS3, then shell out another 340 for Sunday Ticket.

You'll get Sunday Ticket basically handed to you.

I am only a year in so I doubt they would take that threat seriously and I am unsure of what the cancellation fee would be?

If you had Sunday Ticket last year call them and tell them you can't afford it this year. They will lower the price at least. It's all about having numbers of households Sunday Ticket reaches.

It costs $225 this year? Dang. I'll be getting it for free again I don't care how many times I have to call.
By the way, any word on the contract negotiations between the NFL and DirecTV? The last I heard they're at a standstill going into the last two years of the contract.

It works. Just keep calling you'll eventually get a rep that'll give it to you for free.

What package do you have? If you have the premiere (or you could use this reason no matter what package you have) say you have the best package and you pay enough for that so you can't afford NFLST and if they don't give you money off you'll cancel. Sometimes they'll say ok we'll give it to you for free. Others they'll start at a specific credit. Say that particular credit won't work you're hard up. They'll go up a notch on the credit. Then say no and insert other reason. If the they don't give it to you for free say you'll talk it over and call back. Call again and you'll get another rep. Eventually it works.

Hoping that the NFL goes with a streaming option like their Preseason one after their exclusive with DTV expires. Seems like they could generate more cash NOT having the exclusive with DTV.

1. Don't be an asshole. You'll get better results if you're nice and you explain why you can't afford it. 2. Not all CSRs are the same. I've called in and gotten a CSR that said she would just cancel it for me....no big deal. I've gotten a CSR that gave me the entire thing for free.....AND threw in the movie channels for 6 months. It's all trial and error. |

Oh... and it's not my line speed here, I have a fiber optic line that is not shared with 30mb up and down steady consistent speed , I also tried it with wireless and I even strung a 50ft cable from the PS3 to the router thinking it was a wireless/wifi problem.... Same shit... I am not saying it happened all the time but it screwed up enough where I wouldn't buy it again. Also if you bump the PS3 controller you get kicked back to the main screen
Don't buy that shit.. |
