Re: On to the Chiefs
Prediction Chiefs 35 Steelers 23. This is where the Steelers defense gets exposed by the Chiefs offense, Mahomes throws 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Ben will throw for over 400 yards but throws 2 critical INTs. I know the Steelers have owned the Chiefs in recent years, but they've owned the Browns for decades now and settled for a tie against the dysfunctional Browns with a 1-31 head coach and poor ownership

Re: On to the Chiefs
WARNING WARNING This is NOT last year's KC Chiefs! WARNING WARNING

With Alex Smith led KC Cheifs, our defense could cheat down and sniff out all there slip screens and quick dump offs. No with rocket arm Mahomes, he is able to keep our secondary honest.

I feel like this will be a long day for our secondary. 1 splash play will be had by KC. Also I am predicting a lot of pass interference probably by Artie Burns.

I feel good about our chances. Couple of really big outs for the steelers. Only thing that concerns me is that damn Pittsburgh zone blitz scheme. Patrick hasnt seen a tonne of that. Hopefully the scout team has done a decent job of simulation this week.

Those posts above from the Steelers fans by SR are basically exactly how I feel.

We’ve made their defense look damn good for years now, suffocating our passing game and attacking the LOS. Not anymore. It’s a whole new ballgame.

If the Chiefs can pull this one out it is another week where some young, faster guys on defense (O'Daniel, Ward, Watts, Smith) can learn the system. The defense has a chance to get better the deeper we get into the season. We just have to hope the secondary doesn't destroy the first half of the schedule-- which they are capable of doing.

The Chiefs should score 30+ this week if Mahomes can deal with the Steelers zone blitz. I don't think the Steelers will care much about running the ball unless Big Ben's arm is shit. If the Steelers have to rely on the run, for once we might stand a chance.

I can see PIT trying to slow the game down with running the football, especially if both Haden and Burns are out.

But I’ve got a lot more confidence in the stoutness of our run defense this year.

I hope so. They would tear us up in the passing game. If they want to slow it down they will lose.

This is going to be Mahomes first real mental test against an elite level DC. The all-22 is going to be fascinating.

Mahomes was the back-up last season....so he's already mentally game planned, once, against Butler. He's also watched post-game film on how they attacked to Smith, then, and again this week.

You KNOW he saw those missed opportunities with WRs running wide open.

Hunt was the leading receiver last year with 89 yards...and Smith averaged 200 yards passing in the last 2 match-ups. Hill had 34 yards...

Steelers have scored 18 and 19 points in the last 2 meetings....and that was WITH Bell.

They were saying this morning that in 5 games with Reid against the Steelers Bell has had 844 yards on 100 carries

Word is that even though the Steelers listed Ben as a "full" participant in Fridays practice. He was still limited physically.

I saw a clip of him throwing and he didn't look right...that will definitely affect his long passes even if they shoot it up with pain killers.

Injured throwing elbow on one days practice? I'm still not 100% convinced he plays....

Eh I wouldn’t call Butler an “elite” DC, but he’s definitely a good one.

He's elite if your QB panics the moment he cant diagnose where the pre-snap pressure is coming from....

In fairness to Smith, Kelce did drop a bomb in the play-offs but AS also missed a WIDE open WR in the corner of the endzone last year. Sailed it over his head....

KC had legitimate chances in both games...and would have tied it if not for the officials.
