He's not special. Literally every NFL team has a Daurice Fountain on their roster bubble at this point in the year.

Some Fountains are more talented or better than others, but you can basically lump them all together in the same category of "WR 5/6 who shouldn't ever be taking significant offensive snaps in a game". And the ones who break the trend and eventually become okay or even great NFL players are quite rare.

Again, hope he proves me wrong and like Detoxing said, shows that he's more Victor Cruz than he is Fred Williams. Hell, I'd be satisfied with him just turning into another Byron Pringle.

In the meantime, people are having wet dreams about the possibilities for him on this team when it's not even clear if this asshole can beat out Kemp and/or Powell for the final roster spot. And he's DEFINITELY not making the team over Robinson. You can have your opinions of Robinson all you want, but they don't matter next to Reid's opinions. Robinson is staying, and Fountain is on the bubble. I'd say he's a coin flip away.

Dude, I'm driving the bus every year until Mahomes hangs up the cleats.

But as an example-

We've watched every snap of preseason and read every report on our Chiefs and feel really good about our team. But we don't know much about the others, really, and where they're at.

For example, I'll play a Browns fan right now.

DUDE-The Chiefs have an underachieving Frank Clark, and are going to play Chris Jones out of position. Then a bunch of jags. How are they supposed to be better up front than last year? They were pretty shitty at pass rush and couldn't stop the run either. And that secondary? a bunch of cast-offs and former busts. What are they thinking? And don't get me started on the offensive line. I mean, Brown is good, and so is Thuney, but they're going to start THREE ROOKIES! One of them was a SIXTH ROUNDER! LOL. And no Sammy Watkins anymore either. THEY'RE ****ED! We're going to BLOW THEM OUT!

See what I mean?

Now, we've watched closely, so we know that's a bunch of hyperbolic bullshit and we're in good shape. But I haven't been reading the Cleveland camp reports or anything. I DO know they're going to be a very different bunch than last year. So we'll see.

But I expect that they have not closed the gap on us.
