Calculated understanding is not "risk adverse."

And while it's fun to watch the ball go downfield, go ask a Lion's fan if they'd take a little more sustained drives versus 50 yard jump balls that end in interceptions.

We've got a kick ass punter. I don't want one in my quarterback as well.
Not sure what Alex's problem was in the San Francisco game, but he needs to get the ball out MUCH quicker on hot routes.

WCO is all about timing, and I'm sure he knows that just because a guy is covered when you drop back to pass doesn't mean he won't be open when the ball leaves your hand.

Hell, a QB that everybody wants to compare Alex to in Rich Gannon didn't always wait for his receivers to get open. He MADE them open.

Alex has to do the same or he's ****ing garbage.

The change of venue might be just what ol Jenkins needs, same could be said for Baldwin.
Just want to correct this a little bit. Heyward-Bey is not starting for the Colts. That would be Reggie Wayne, and T.Y. don't call me TY Hilton.

And maybe a change of scenery will do him well. I just don't see it.

Alex is exactly what we knew he was.

If JC goes down or has a bad day, this offense is done. The rest of the offensive players aren't good enough to mask his inadequacies.

This year is the year in which the Chiefs are tight to the cap. Eric Berry and Brendan Albert are both earning in excess of $10 million and Hali is earning $15 million. That's $35 million in three players.

Next year, Hali's number drops in half (IIRC) and I'm certain Berry will get an extension in 2014, lowering his cap number significantly. Albert won't be on the team and if he is, it'll be far less than $10 million.

I agree but we gota do better with blitz recognition and catching the football. He had 3 drops and Bowe on the play near the endzone. Bowe needed to catch the ball then run. Instead began to run up field while trying to catch it which led to the defender getting the better angle on the ball. Alex has to get rid of the ball by hot routing the D and getting it out quick under pressure.

It's small in the grand scheme, I guess. And it's probably worth the gamble. But now that there's another $1 million guaranteed tacked onto the 2014 cap, the opportunity cost on the move goes up a little more.
Jesus.

How bad does a guy have to be in order for a team to dump him one season after taking him in the 1st round.

If this is any indication of how bad our WR's are, we're in for another Looooong season.

I'm not too worried. Alice can't throw to WR's anyways. All check down to backs and TE's.

Hence the picking up of Knile Davis, Anthony Fasano, and Travis Stone Brick hands Kelce. Who I actually really like. Not sure why the dropsies.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. TG was known for dropping passes his 1st year in KC.

If this offense is in the hands of Fasano and Knile Davis, it's not going anywhere.

That's the problem. Those guys are role players, not stars. Neither of those guys are going to take over a game or cause issues for a top 10 defense.

He has to feed Bowe, because outside of Charles, he's the only reliable weapon he has, and through two preseason games it doesn't appear that they have that chemistry yet.

If he can't find his premier WR downfield then it's going to be like watching a Cassel led offense all over again.

We have junk for offensive weapons. Alex Smith is limited and can't do the things Bree's does with Graham
