I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

Why do you think Claire is evil?

I didn't like the fact that Jin was immediately wary and scared of Claire. Two guys are about to kill him and she saves his life. Next thing you know he's about to untie an "other" who admits he's going to snap her neck at the first opportunity. How about a little gratitude.

She just left Aaron and disappeared. They weren't sure what happened to her.

Claire was touched by the smoke monster. That is even more evident when he walked into the tent at the end of the episode.

Jin was wary because he hadn't seen Claire in (7) years? She was supposed to be dead.

The "other" displayed what seemed to Jin to be an authentic fear regarding Claire. Jin already knew that "other" from the temple and that that was a safe haven. The jungle is not a safe haven and anything in the jungle, including Claire must be met with some reservations.

I'm not buying it. Claire is an old friend to Jin and saved his life. If not for Claire Jin would have had a bullet in his head. The "others" that Jin left in the temple weren't exactly hospitable to him. His allegiance should have immediately been to the old friend who saved his life moments earlier. If anything he should have been sympathetic to Claire for having to survive on her own in the jungle for years.

yes Jin should be grateful Claire saved his life... but she is not the Claire he use to know.. i would be skeptical of her too

He doesn't know she isn't the same Claire. All he knows is that she's been alone in the jungle for 3 years, the "others" tortured her and the "others" were about to kill him.
