I am proud of the guy he's become. He wasn't going to be denied. I've said it a couple times, but this team is different. There isn't a Chiefs team that I've ever watched that pulls that game out. Either the Defense crumbles after getting us back in the game to blow the game (See 2019 AFCCG for example) or the offense just packs it in and says, "sorry not our day." We've watched many super talented super productive teams shit the bed after far less adversity. It took leadership from a hell of a lot of different guys to pull this shit up by its bootstraps. |

Production comes from belief. And make no mistake, when Mahomes talks, teammates listen.

HOWEVER, it took a lot of leadership on the defensive side that obviously wasn't there last year, to end Texans drives. And Sorensen definitely helped on ST. Those plays deserve the credit they're getting. But there is a substantial difference between this defense and the defense that played the Cheatriots. Hell, there's a difference between this defense and the defense that Houston rammed the ball down our throats earlier in the year. This took the whole team of BAMFs. |

I think it's very much a group effort here.
Kelce was a warrior through injuries. Sorenson made some MASSIVE plays in that 2nd quarter. Clark was a beast in the pass rush and gave Deshaun a ton of trouble. Patrick was the emotional leader and was very accurate today. He rallied the troops and backed it up with his own performance. 7 straight TD drives. That didn't happen by handing the ball to Derrick Henry. |

It's so easy to pick Mahomes, and he really deserves a game ball for his performance yesterday. But then he could get nearly all the game balls for every game.
And Kelce is an easy pick also. He is the engine of the offense. And yesterday he had a legendary type performance. But since the defense has been so beleaguered this season, and yesterday they really put together a heck of a game, I'm voting for Dan Sorenson. Dan single-handedly created two short fields with his play, allowing the Chiefs offense to score twice exceptionally quickly, allowing the Chiefs to take the lead in 10 minutes. And he was responsible for the tackle that left HOU short and ultimately not only forced BoB to kick the FG, but burn two TOs in the process. That might not have been possible without his great play.
