Fun Zack Greinke tidbit.
While he was with the Brewers in 2012, he was invited to the draft war room and asked who they should take in the first. He suggested Corey Seager. They took something called Clint Coulter instead. Oof.

So international signing day is about here and so far I've found 2 decent guys that are expected to sign with KC. One a catcher that they compared go Salvy and the other is an OF. Anything else Duncan?

Former big leaguer Christian Colón has accepted a coaching position within the Royals’ organization, MLBTR has learned. The recently-retired infielder is expected to open the season on staff with the club’s Double-A affiliate in Northwest Arkansas.

Man that 1994 squad had a pitching staff:
Cone Appier Flash Gordon Gubicza Hipolito Pichardo Jeff Montgomery as closer Shame the strike derailed that season. We had the pitching and just enough offense to do some damage in the playoffs. |

I remember when Chris Getz played for the Royals everybody commented on how he totally out kicked his coverage on his wife! Yowza.

Man, I loved that team. I still think they could have made some real noise in the playoffs had the strike not happened. They were hot and trending upwards.

Side note - In the top 11 of WAR in 1994, 4 of them were drafted by the Royals (Cone, Sabs, Danny Jackson, Appier) |
