Kiper's mock -- 1-16

I'm not wild over Sanchez, but Kiper probably knows more than I do. IMO, you take BPA in the top 5, if not top 10. I think DE is our biggest need, but that would be a huge reach at #3 overall, and can probably be addressed in Rd 2.

1.Detroit Matthew Stafford QB Georgia
2 St. Louis Andre Smith OT Alabama
3 Kansas City Mark Sanchez QB USC
4 Seattle Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech
5 Cleveland Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
6 Cincinnati Jason Smith OT Baylor
7 Oakland Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri
8 Jacksonville Eugene Monroe OT Virginia
9 Green Bay Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio St.
10 San Francisco Aaron Maybin DE/OLB Penn St.
11 Buffalo Brandon Pettigrew TE Oklahoma St.
12 Denver B.J. Raji DT Boston College
13 Washington Brian Orakpo DE Texas
14 New Orleans Vontae Davis CB Illinois
15 Houston Everette Brown DE Florida St.
16 San Diego Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia

I'm fine with Sanchez if he impresses at the combine and the Chiefs sign some offensive linemen in free agency.

I like this draft quite a bit. Especially if Michael Johnson falls that far. Not too hard to try and trade up into the late first and snatch him up. Not that I'd want him but would Oakland be really interested in Maclin? Just curious....

I think he might have done that himself, cause I can read your "pissed." And I find it really amusing when people say "cuss" instead of curse. There was this whiny kid at Walmart who was arguing with someone on the phone and got mad when the caller started "cussing" at him. He slammed the phone down and was crying like a little bitch. This is all I can think of when people say "cuss."

Having lived in New England and followed Pioli closely it would shock me if the Chiefs dont trade down.

Unless you just want to be cheap like the Vikings were a few years ago and "accidentally" let your time expire so you drop a slot and have to pay your first round pick less money.

Sanchez is way too risky to pick with #3. Dude had a disappointing season by almost all accounts until he cut loose in the Rose Bowl. That's not enough to warrant such a high pick.

I thought the Josh Freeman to T-Bay in the middle of the first round was comical. How many picks does he have to throw before people wake up and see this guy for what he is? Looks like Tarzan, throws like Jane without her glasses.

From what I saw on NFLN the other day scouts were saying he showed up looking rusty, fat and confused during practices. I think that was either Monday or Tuesday when Mayock and the other guy were both saying that.
