Agreed. He had bust written all over him. He wasn't even actually good in college. He just had that big arm.

Yeah, the guy only threw for 3,100 yards with a 67.2 completion percentage and 31 TD's his sophomore season, then turned around and threw 63% at 4,143 and 26 TD's the following season.

Darnold needs a year or two backing up a solid QB on an offensively driven football team so he can "re-learn" the position, IMO.

Going to another shitty team won't help him at all, nor would throwing him into the fire on a good team.

I'd trade for Darnold now if I were a team if the Jets would do it. Try to get him in your system.

Hell I wouldn't be upset if the Chiefs did it. Send them a 3rd for Darnold, let Andy work with him and play him in the preseason next year. Some team has an injury then boom, another first round pick.

I know Julio isn't an option for us. But I like hypotheticals, and they owe us for Tony G.

If a sign-and-trade situation presented itself, I wonder if he'd be open to restructuring - not for a pay cut, but moving the numbers around somehow.

Still not sure how that works. Here's our cap situation next year.

I assume we most certainly let Watkins, Robinson, LDT walk; extend Mathieu; Restructure Clark? Fisher? Do something with Hitchens?

LOL, there are very few teams in the NFL that could take on $20 million for a wide receiver, especially since the cap will most likely decrease in 2021, not increase.

The Chiefs won a Super Bowl with all of their current receivers so the need just isn't there.

If the Chiefs want a veteran guard, Quinton Spain was cut by the Bills.

I can't imagine he'd be worse than Remmers on the inside.
