Clearly a sign they are giving Frank Calrk a pay jump.

There are no obvious roster spots at DE. Who do you bench?
Clark? Dunlap? Karlaftis? Danna? They're all going to continue to rack up snaps. I think the same could be said at WR. It's just very unlikely they bench Hardman, and Moore's snaps are only going to grow with JuJu and MVS racking up snaps too. Where are there snaps to be earned? RB? The Chiefs simply are not going to bench Clyde, though they may reduce his snaps. The Chiefs like McKinnon and Pacheco, who they're not going to bench when December arrives. I don't think there are snaps there. Two places, in order of likelihood: RT -- Wylie is JAG and Niang is imaginary DT -- a snap-hole opened up in the wake of Wharton's injury These are the only two positions that make sense to me. |

Dude is a leader of the DE position group, whether we like him or not. We can moan about it, but he's not getting benched. |

Stallworth wasn't active last week. So I do think there are snaps at the DT position still to earn. |

If the expertise on this board determines a player has no redeeming value, why would we expect another team to be salivating over the guy? |

Panthers get: 1st round pick Hardman Chiefs get: Moore See what I'm saying? Could also use the same example for say CMC. They get cap relief PLUS a #1 RB in CEH at a cheap rookie contract that makes the deal happen easier. |

Panthers get: 1st Round Pick 2nd Round Pick Chiefs Get: Moore Or if the Chiefs want to include Hardman to free up cap space: Panthers Get: 1st Round Pick 2nd Round Pick 7th Round Pick Hardman Chiefs Get: Moore I guess my point is, tanking teams don't want fringe replacement level players. They value draft picks to rebuild. If a team is tanking and have a roster need, they will just activate a player from the practice squad who at least already knows their system. Hardman doesn't add value to a tanking team mid-season. |
