KC vs. Denver Crowds. According to Coach Mora

Mora's answer to a question during his press conference where he compares Denver's crowd versus KC's crowd

Mora: "You know what? Our team was really calm yesterday. In the locker room before the game, in pre-game warm-ups, even on the sideline when we got down, things were calm. No one panicked. It felt different in Kansas City. Kansas City’s crowd is amazing and you felt it. You felt it. It’s like I talk about our Dome…you want it to be a suffocating feeling. You felt that at Kansas City. At Denver yesterday…you just didn’t feel it. You didn’t feel the heat, you didn’t feel the emotion, you didn’t feel the crowd, so we didn’t get worked up. We kind of just kept playing and we felt like our offense was moving the ball and they continued to move the ball, so we felt like we’d get back in it. And we did. But I think, honest to goodness, a lot of it has to do with the crowd. It’s a big difference between Kansas City and Denver. Big difference. Big. Big difference between Kansas City and most places. We want to be talking about Atlanta like I’m talking about Kansas City and I think we’re on our way."

Of course I wasted no time rubbing this quote in the donks faces:

I didn't realize that back in the day, the defense would get penalized if the crowd noise wasn't controlled. Why don't they do that anymore?

No comment me volunteering you for free beer?

Don't you remember Elway whining about the noise? That got the NFL labled the no fun league when the refs started throwing penalty flags for crowd noise. It's hard to believe that they use to penalize a team for the fans passion isn't it?

Donkeys, Colts, Elway, Manning. Its all starting to mesh together. That has to be the worst rule I have ever heard of. That used to irritate me, Elway of all QBs complaining about that. Did they ever throw a flag for that in mile high? I doubt it. Elway and Manning have to be the two bitchiest QBs in the history of the NFL.

After over 3 decades of watching NFL ball it is no surprise ... Denver and Dallas have always had more "fair-weather" fans than hardcore fans like the Chiefs fans.

Elway also had an extra ten yard " line of scrimmage " That sure helped him in his " miracle " comebacks against the Chiefs... Now it seems Manning can bounce around like a freaking monkey, with impunity, before the snap of the ball.. Jeez I remember our quarterbacks getting flagged for bobbing their head at the wrong time.

If Bi-State 2 fails and in the future they decide to do this it had better be retractable and we get a Super Bowl out of the deal or else I'll go postal...
Damn, you look like Johnny Damon in that pic.

Just heard an interview with Mora this morning on the NFL Radio Network. (Sirius Satellite Radio)

He was talking about the noise and the fans in Arrowhead again: stated we were the loudest and most passionate fans in the league, and how Arrowhead is one of the most difficult places to play.

And then he went on to say how happy they were to beat Denver.
