Have you ever won anything?

Like a raffle, lottery or a radio contest. I haven't.

Oh. That reminds me. I won about $40 in undergraduate school on some cheesy campus game show. They randomly picked me and a half-dozen other people out of the crowd, and we had a series of contests where the last-place person got eliminated each round. I don't remember most of the contests, but one of them was draining a baby bottle of fruit punch. It was that sort of thing.

I lost when my pile of blocks collapsed right at the end of the "build the highest pile of blocks" competition. It stank. If I could've beaten a couple more people, I would've gone into one of those booths with the big fan and the dollar bills all blowing around it.

Even so, $40 was a huge win for me at the time, because I was malnourished and was pretty much picking through the Dumpsters® for leftover cafeteria food.

This is one of those times where winning $5,000 could make you suicidal.

Got 4 out of 5 + the powerball. Called QuickTrip to see how much I won, told him I got 5 out of 6 and he said $100,000! Screamed, jumped around and read him the numbers, he said sorry you only won $5,000. Fugger. If I would have had 5 and no powerball it would have been 100k.

One more and it would have been 33 million!

Oh, I forgot. I won two tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof (with Dr. Octopus as Tevye) on Broadway two Novembers ago, through my work. It just so happened that it fell on our anniversary, too, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

I win stuff, but its a relative question.

I've won tournaments in wrestling and related awards along the way....I've won raffles at conventions.....I won 2500 and 600 the last 2 times I've been to a casino. My real claim to fame is probably that I've won a karoke competition and 2 "best butt" contests.

I'm holding out for the day I win the Leg Lamp though.

I've said it before, but I know several lottery winners....powerball, "missed it by that much" 100k, and knew a guy whose parents won 2 state lottery jackpots.

When I was around 11 or 12, one of the local grocery stores was giving away a gas-powered go-kart with a fiberglass Chevy van body on it. I spent the whole time my mother was shopping filling the entry box and sure enough we won it. It was the greatest day of my childhood.

Oh, and I won a big thick book about Bruce Springsteen from a radio station once. I didn't read it.

I don't feel sorry for you. You're just too damn lazy to "detassel" or "walk beans".
