Lowered expectations!

Sadly I had already accepted our offense was going to be significantly diminished this season because of Herm. However, even my lowered expectations were not set to handle the loss of Roaf to retirement. I now feel we will be fortunate to finish .500 but that this gives us the chance to start rebuilding our offense. I think we should consider asking Will Shields and Priest to go ahead and retire opening up roster space for some projects. We should also have some scouts out (if possible) looking for prospect that might be cut worth pursuing.

So what are your thoughts on the best way to start rebuilding?

I can't remember the last time you had high expectations for the Chiefs, though I'm sure you have.

I know; I just hate rebuilding years. We can never seem to get the offense and the defense together at the same time, so the only thing I have left are my hopeful delusions.

I was really speaking to the other Planeteers Stevie. I admit I already had low expectations. I was thinking 10-6 before Roaf retired so this is not a huge change in my view.

Okay, waking up and seeing the whole first page filled with Roaf retirement threads was a severe kick to the sack and not a good way to start the day but....

I aint ready to cash it in...

I can sit here and spit some shit about Black needing to step up and hoping that Turley will able to hold his own at the lesser weight...blah blah

But, just go have some beers and lets see how this develops during TC

I might agree with you but I don't think our schedule is that difficult this year. The team could totally look like ass and still go 8-8.
