It's going to be a WR at 23, who do you want?

Johnson is off the board and every other wide receiver is still left. You learn that KC is going to stick with the pick and they have a WR identified as the best available player. Who are you hoping the player is? Which WR do you want at 23 if forced to take one?

I love his size, body control and run after the catch ability. Whether he can overcome the dropped balls issue will be the critical factor.

From memory, many of his drops were of the concentration type. He usually caught the more difficult downfield passes but dropped the ones when he had running room (think TO drops from last season or DJax). Jamarcus didn't exactly have the greatest touch on shorter passes either.
Agree completely. I would rather have Bowe than Ginn, but not over Jarrett, Meachem or Rice. Meachem and Rice were much more impressive in SEC play with much less quality QBs than Russell tossing them the ball.

Great.

I think the Chiefs need to address the WR position, but I'm not convinced they HAVE to take a WR in the first round.

I think DT, OT, WR, and corner are ALL viable options.

There is also need for potentially a C, G, S and OLB, and if Green is traded, there is room for a QB somewhere in the draft.
And like I've said and some other people have said, the DT's won't be there, the OT's won't be there and this is a total shit year for corner. We take one of those positions with our first pick and it's a huge reach.

Yup.

It's looking more & more like WR simply because what will be left at DT, OT & CB will not be worth the 23rd pick.

Now if we trade up or down, then that's a different story.

wow .... that means more to me than all the mock drafts combined.

maybe we should nab him

Personally I think we'll be lucky for Jarrett to fall in our laps, he's a top 15 talent that is going to likely fall in our laps.

Bowe is not the rawest first-round-caliber WR. Shaddap, DaKC. That's BS and you know it.

Him and Ginn are both raw. The other first round WRs (Calvin Johnson, Jarrett, Rice and Meachem) are much more polished players.

Hahaha.

Ginn is much rawer (and you know it), as is Sidney Rice.

Sidney Rice runs better routes and has much better hands.

Well hopefully the Chiefs see it as the majority of us do judging by the poll.

If it's a WR at 23, then Jarrett is clearly the guy.

I'd be so pumped. Finally we'd join the trend set several years ago by getting a big WR with talent.

I just hope if we do pick a WR, we go with the formula we used last year. 40-times are wonderful and all, but go with a guy that got it done ON THE FIELD.

Jarrett has bust written all over him.

I read one publication that said Meachem would be the top wide receiver in his class in any other year...

I just felt like Mike Williams, when you could see him in the play when he didn't make the reception, his effort was lackluster.

Jarrett, on the other hand, while not the best blocker was putting everything he had into it.

That tells me that he's an effort guy that wants to win, and that he will continue to work hard to grow and improve.

Mike Williams just thought/thinks that size and natural talent will get him by.

I like how if you don't run 4.4 people think you're a bust now......

For all of Meachems talent his biggest problem is he's a soft player. To me Meachem is going to look like Stallworth, which should make him an ok NFL player. But from what I've seen of him he's likely going to miss games every year and he's never going to touch the middle of the field.
