Oklahoma Advice Needed
I have an offer for a great job based in Oklahoma, and am in need of advice from those who know the state. I would likely be able to live in either OKC or Tulsa. From my very limited knowledge, it seems like Tulsa is a prettier place overall, but I suppose OKC has its' benefits too.

I have 2 kids, ages 7 & 10, so schools will play an important part in the decision. I've lived in KC most of my life, so any comparisons/contrasts there would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you are considering the Tulsa area then you really need to check out Owasso. Great school system, shopping and restaurants and overall quality of life. Owasso schools not only excell in academics but are known for their great band programs as well as having a pretty decent baseball team (ranked #1 in USA TODAY high school teams in 2006). We looked around for six months before buying, shopping homes through all the suburbs, and decided Owasso appealed the most. Jenks, Bixby and Broken Arrow have some nice areas as well. I came to Tulsa on a company transfer with twelve other people and half of them moved to Owasso. The rest are sprinkled throughout the city.

Both have great people and things to do. If I had to make a choice I'd go with Tulsa.
