If we started the season tomorrow, Trent Green would be our starting QB

we have no intentions of releasing Trent Green. He's healthy and ready to go.

They are not going to keep him. I wish they would. I agree that we are in a rebuilding mode. How is reducing the payroll helping us rebuild?

Is there a RT, DT or WR that we will go for? Are we bidding against the Niners for Darrell Jackson? Joe Horn?

If they will reduce beer prices and Sunday Ticket by 7.5% then I am all for cutting him. However, they wont.

So, what do I have to gain by hoping they cut him? Nothing.

Do you remember '03 when we spread Trent and Priests signing bonuses over 2 years so we couldn't get the defensive help we needed in '04?

Why do we complain that Denver is always cheating the cap by spending too much money? Why don't we?

Are you going to have him be the backup? We already signed Huard for that.

This is the year, when we still have a few holes, to let Croyle get the kinks out.

This team is about a run in 2008, and Trent Green isn't going to be part of that.

That's how I feel. I'd much rather see what Croyle is than watch Trent trot out there for another year.

So is Croyle going to better by beating Green for the job or being handed it?

We do have holes to fill. I have not seen one report that indicated that we are going to use the $7.5 m fill them. How are we going to use the $7.5 m to fill them?

You folks are vastly underestimating Trent Green. With an improved offensive line and a new WR I think he could do some great things - especially with what looks to be a very good defense.

Well, I am not exactly sure what to think of this?

But I will say that in the end, Miami had all the leverage on us.

Now if we cut Trent, I really don't know what to say?

*Because the way I look at it is, Why trade Trent for a 6th when he is worth more than a 6th? Also, why let him go for free knowing you could of got the least amount for him? Now if you cut him you get nothing in return for him.

We were stuck in a no-win situation and Miami got us where they wanted us.

Croyle will get better by beating either Huard or Green for the job. We can't afford to spend $7.5M worth of cap for that.

Well, I wouldn't be so quick to congratulate Miami. They passed on Brady Quinn to get Ginn, Jr. (who they easily could have picked 10 spots later). They now have a broken Culpepper, Cleo Lemon who excites noone and John Beck. They are really going to struggle this year.

We're not going to cut him. Miami will end up coughing up some decent 2008 picks sometime in the next month or so. Does anyone know the date for Miami's offseason or mini that Culpepper won't attend?

How do you figure?

They never budged. They drafted a QB in the 2nd round and also have another QB in Cleo Lemon. That's 2 young guys right there. Say one of those guys becomes good? Say we release Green for nothing and they get him? Are you gonna say they shot themselves in the foot?
