I'm going to say met because he is what I thought he was, that however doesn't mean as a 1st round pick it's a good pick.

We know you would have traded up to snag Cromartie right??

I wish the Chiefs would have done this more over the years to be honest. Traded up.

Thats how they snagged Gonzalez. Some years (like in 06) the draft isnt as deep and if your drafting 20-25, all the impact players are gone.

It's been very disappointing. His rookie year showed promise. Then, I thought he might just be in a sophomore slump - which happens - and gave him the benefit of the doubt. Plus, there were injuries to consider.

I'm not so sure, now. He needs to get it together or he will, as some have said, turn out to be a marginal, backup quality player. That doesn't speak well of Herm's ability to select talent. If Pollard and Page don't start performing like true starters in this league, Herm's drafts are going to start looking pretty average all of a sudden. That class looked like this ...

Tamba Hali (Underachieving.)
Bernard Pollard (Average safety, excellent punt blocker person.)
Brodie Croyle (Who the heck knows? But, not looking good due to injuries and handcuffs.)
Marcus Maxey (Released)
Tre' Stallings (Has he played a snap?)
Jeff Webb (two starts - 30 total catches, or so)
Jarrad Page (Work in progress. A question mark.)

Pollard and Page have both played well this year.

As for Hali, none of the ends have done much in terms of pass rush, but NE historically doesn't give up sacks and the Raiders weren't even trying to throw the ball. It's a shame he didn't intercept that screen to start the game, though. That could have been huge...

Either way, for the safeties or the ends, it's a 16-game season; we'll see what happens.

The injury is troubling.

I'm not so sure it's the picks themselves, Mr. Deberg_1990. It may be. But, it may also have something to do with the Chiefs' historical difficulty in developing talent once we acquire it. I continue to believe that we have a real problem in that area.

I wont disagree.

As has been stated many times, this franchise needs an enema.

What do you mean we can't develop? We develop some of the best unmemorable and never-was players this league has ever seen.

We could have traded our entire draft for Cromartie and we'd be better off today, that's rather sad.
