If they hire the right GM and coaches, I expect improvement but I don't think it will show more than 3 or 4 games on the win loss record..so that would be somewhere between 2-5 wins.

Of course it will depend who all they can get in here, if we can get a QB that will speed this up a bit looking at 2010 and 2011.

What's the point of speculating when you have no idea who we hire, who we sign, and who we draft?

None.

I refuse to debate or speculate about our wins and losses next year until I see what we do this offseason.

Well there isn't much else to talk about.....I'd rather think about them making good moves than having to go "**** that sucked"

You're going to label every move as a terrible one anyways...that's what you do. Jared Allen was an average player when he was a Chief...you mocked everyone who called him a top defensive end...

You already stated Tony Gonzalez was grossly overpaid etc. etc. etc. until I showed you that it wasn't the case whatsoever...which you then deflected because you knew you were wrong and didn't want to admit it...

Blah blah blah...you're a broken record and you don't know nearly as much as you think.

Just admit, as of right now, Tony has easily outplayed the contract extension he signed in 2006. Can you do it? Are you capable of admitting you are wrong when you say Tony Gonzalez is overpaid?
I agree with you Hootie. The Chiefs were very smart about re-signing Tony.

I advocated that the Chiefs should keep Tony and LJ. Sometimes we are right sometimes we are wrong that is the way it goes.

After the 2006 season when Allens biggest year was I believe 9 sacks?

You know you have to account for player development and when a statement was made. After the 2006 season he wasn't an elite player......which is when I made that comment.

The year he had 7.5 sacks doesn't tell the story for what kind of year he had...he constantly applied pressure on the QB...he had so many QB hurries and pressures but everyone cited the 7.5 sacks as being a down season.

Allen has been a great player from day 1.

Everyone could see him becoming an elite DE except for you...because he was a Chiefs player and you don't want anyone from the Chiefs to succeed because then you wouldn't have a purpose on this board.

I actually agree with you.

I enjoy Mecca's takes on the draft, but he is always chicken little with this team.

There is absolutely no way, in January, before all the staff and GM decisions have been made can you certainly say this team is going to be awful in 2009.

Teams in the NFL turn it around in one off-season with capable coaching and leadership.
